Stains 21 games 17 at home......go figure

Whatever the draw, if we are to win the CC again I'd rather us win it having beaten Wire, Saints and Leeds like last year than get the easier draws and have clubs start crying about who's had easier games.

Btw if we did get drawn at home could the game not just be played on the friday night whilst latics are playing sunday? been interesting that no one has moaned about the pitch over the last month or so aswell....

That's cos it's in the best condition it's been in for a very long time.



Balls to everyone else. It's like coming top and not being crowned Champions. Tough. They're the rules. Yes, it's nice to win it how Saints did in 2006 or how we did last year, but I wouldn't complain if we got the easier draw every round as long as won the thing.

Wire v Saints
Catalans v Hudds - this would be a great draw with us away at Hudds the week after in the league

Wire v Catalan (50% of Wire fans to be Catalan supporters for the day)
Hudds v Pearly Kings (to be played at Odsal at the RL's insistence).

Are you sure? That's an unlikely run. Anyone do maths at uni or A-level maths with statistics who can give us the odds for that?

17 of 21 at home is correct. Including this year that consitutes 78.2% of cup ties at home. In the same time Wigan have played 33.3% at home.

Leeds is even better than Saints with 78.9% of ties at home. Warrington are 57.8%. All since 2005.

So going of these percentages both Stains & Leeds are nailed on for home ties , ill go for

I think the odds of getting 17 home games out of 21 draws are about 14 to 1.

As for the semi final draw being made on a desert island and transmitted on Algerian pirate radio, I've heard that it's being held at the start of The Dark Knight Rises ... Commissioner Gordon will conduct the draw with Batman and Alfred picking the teams.

Saints vs Catalans , revenge tie after the last minute try and will clear up a weekend for the HUllfc tie not played earlier on in the year. but Catalans will do it again and stuff up plans lol

other draws will keep big teams apart for big semi finals such as Saints vs Wigan or no that could be a good final , mmmm tickets tickets tickets

Ive got a feeling for Leigh away. They need the cash and we are always away from home. Leeds at home to London because they make the rules. Nice home game as usual for Saints vs Catalans and a chance to get revenge. Leaves warrington ve Hudds.

I think they'll pick Leigh v London, to make two blowouts less likely than if they were paired with anyone else.

We'll be away at Leeds, as usual, and nobody really cares about the others.

It's actually very complex and much more unlikely than 4/17.

Assuming the draw is fair and the chance of getting a home was 50:50, then you would enter 21 for N, 17 for k and 0.5 for p and q.

The calculation produces a probability of 0.0035986900329589843, i.e. 3.6 in a hundred.

We can therefore conclude that Saints run of home fixtures is either very lucky or the draw is not a fair one.

I think somebody earlier in the thread summed it up when they said the side getting the toughest draw will be whoever picks Wigan.

Yes it would be nice to get Leigh or London but in all honesty we're good enough to beat anyone and anywhere so we may as well sit back and relax.
