I dare you to walk around the streets of Sydney asking if people know who Kris Welham is. He is a total nobody in the RL world.

They are hardly star players



Taylor has only played a few games and still has a long way to go, he certainly couldnt be considered a star. As for Welham he is very average and is a one man turnstyle.

Can't really compare rovers to Wigan considering you've been in super league for over 10 years and had your acadamey structure in place for a while, whilst we've got another at least 6 years to catch up

Fev were good, you were poor. (for wigans normally very high standards) do i think fev would of beaten us? No because imo we would of played the conditions better. (or at least id like to think we would)

So i still stand by what i say in that you were poor and wernt very good in attack - hence me asking if you can play like that on friday.

Wigan weren't that bad against Fev. In those conditions the defence would always be on top. They got one try from a Wigan error and another from an obvious ball steal, other than that they struggled to breach the defence. Wigan got 32 points which isn't easy on a pitch like that. That's also with Gelling being prevented from scoring a likely try by Raynor's obstruction, another where he dropped the ball over the line when he should have scored, and one in the first half disallowed that shouldn't have been.

There was only really one team who was going to win that game given the opportunities both teams had, not to take anything away from Fev's performance because they defended brilliantly.

Offensively we were poor, there's no doubt about that. Too much dropped ball due in part to poor timing from the halves. Now how much of that was due to Featherstone's pitch and us not quite being at our best is debatable. What I disagree with from some people is believing Featherstone's defense caused those errors. While Featherstone were mighty fine in defense, I highly doubt that they were able to stop our attack when the best in SL simply can't.

Defensively I thought we were good against Featherstone. Two try's conceded from broken play and the third from a kick, is nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm reasonably confident we'll see a more cohesive Wigan performance on Friday.

2011 third highest try scorer in super league with 26 tries, i would say thats not bad for someone considered average.

He's been in the top 10 for missed tackles for the last 3 years and is currently second. That's much worse than average.

They're both dreaful. Welham is ok but not much more then that due to his very poor defence.

Is scoring tries the only measure you use to define how good a player is? Karl Pryce scored a try a game for us but I wouldnt call him a star player. I was actually being polite in calling him average as I really do not rate him at all. Even Hull KR fans are complaining that Hull KR only ever attack down Welhams side and say that is why he scores tries. How many tries did Welham's winger score because Welham is a greedy so and so (i.e its not much use scoring a lot of tries when you arent setting up your winger)? How many tackles does Welham miss? There is a damn site more to the game than scoring tries or people like Pryce, Penny, Ainscough et al would be superstars.

Seeing as you ask Welham's winger scored a hat trick last time out.



Not getting into the willy measuring contest that's gone before in this thread.
Wigan is my favourite away game in the SL.
We may be at full strengh for the 1st time this season and your missing a key player and coming off the back of a very tough game.
Hopefully a game to grace the SKY cameras.

On the general feeling of this thread then, I'd be disappointed to come away with a defeat as Wigan used to be a guaranteed two points.

Leuluai, Finch, Richards, Charnley, McIlorum, Hock - All shïte. Every last one of them. And wouldn't get in to KR's team ahead of whoever plays in their relative position.

Let's be honest here - Pretty much ANY of Wigan's players could walk in to your team.

But if you want to claim that the best attack AND the best defence in the league is ENTIRELY down to Sam Tomkins, you go ahead.

Just make sure that tell your coach to put at least 5 men on Sam, every time he goes near the ball.

That way, you'll never notice Tommy, Brett, et al running/passing rings around you.

He plays for Hull Kingston Australians, i'd say that's the definition of average.

Yet we've given game time in SL to 12 different Hull born players this year........Go figure.
