R.I.P. Keith. Always a pleasure to talk with when I bumped into him, he worked with my dad years ago and always remembered him. A true stalwart, genuine bloke and gentleman. Will be sadly missed, condolences to his family and close friends.

Keith was a true gentleman. As posted earlier he didn't want to be in the limelight or seek any attention. He was humbled when he won the club man award last year. He didn't think he had done anything to deserve it. A well liked and well respected guy. R.I.P. Keith. You wil be sadly missed.

RIP Keith, will be missed by many.

What sad news, I have known Keith for many years, he worked with my wife's uncle Denis Wright club physio for many years, also we met with football Latics v Latics a few years ago.
A true gentleman, one of the unsung hero's behind the scenes, he will be sadly missed in the rugby league community.

RIP Keith,it is people like him who are the cornerstones of any Club or Society in general, who bring stability when things may not allways be running smooth .

Kris Radlinski summed up how much Keith meant to the Wigan club when in the dressing room after the last game at Central Park he presented Keith with the match ball. The player wanted him to have it.

Maybe for the fans going to Hull could fall silent when the players run out as its going to be over 2 weeks before our next home game as a amark of respect.

RIP Keith. My favourite memory of keith was at the jjb after radz scored in the last second against bradford. We were one point behind with faz still to kick the goal. Keith was waving his arms about at the fans trying to shut us up so faz could concentrate. An absolute legend of the Wigan club. I know the term legend gets branded about loads but there is no other word to describe Keith for his work on and off the pitch.

I agree entirely. Legend is an overused term, often for a player who has a few good games in a relatively short career. Guys like Keith who have served the Club for most of their life, deserve the tag of legend.
Rather than a minutes silence, which can so easily be ruined by an ill behaved idiot, he deserves a minutes round of applause as an appreciation (to celebrate his life, more than mourn his passing)

A committed servant of the club for many years and in a variety of different roles. I too hope he is remembered in a special way by the club.

As the title says a true club legend. So sorry to hear this. Didn't know him personally but felt like he did he's been around so long. Condolences to friends and family.

People like Keith are rare indeed. Always helpful, friendly and amiable and willing to put his hand to anything to help the club. A true gent and great servant to Wigan who will be sadly missed. RIP Keith.

Struggled to write something, although I can't claim to be a close friend I've known the guy for as long as I care to remember. His relatively few games played for the first team are perhaps explained by our classic back row around that time - Ashurst, Robinson, Laughton. When I saw the title I knew who it would be, and perhaps that is the best epitaph, think of Billy, Eric, Ellery, Dean, Keith in the context of Wigan and you instantly know who the person is without the need for a second name.
