| Quote ="Odem"Tim Smith is the best passer of the ball in super league IMO. He just can't defend.'"
come on we all know that lockers is the best passer of a ball in superleague, Phil clarke told us and stupid he aint.
seriously though Tim Smith was by far the worst NRL player I have ever seen while playing for Ricky Stuarts Cronulla in 2010. it was an awful side but he was Simply dreadful. His decision making is shocking so it makes no difference how good you can chuck the thing when you dont know what to do with it.

| He was dreadful for the first hour or so...knock ons, forward passes, lazy defending...then perked up a bit for the last 20 minutes against a tiring Widnes defence.

I don't believe for one second he was a better player at Bradford, he was the most elusive stand off at Wigan I've seen, the only thing he had different at Bradford was his goal kicking. He'd lost a bit of his pace by the time he got to Bradford.

| Henry Paul was a great player imo. Great balance with the ball in hand. In fact only since Sam Tomkins has come into the side have we seen someone who made attacking with ball in hand look so effortless.
A little known fact is he also came over as a potential goal kicker.

Well that would be jumping the gun abit. Tim Smith isnt fit to lace Brett Finchs boots. I've never known a player to be so under rated by Wigan fans. Bar his kicking game he played well today.

That was said tongue in cheek. Do you honestly think Finch played well today!? I thought he was the worst player on the pitch, he looked uninterested most of the time. He wasn't getting his hands on the ball enough and some of his decision making was terrible.
The forwards never laid a decent platform and the awful kicking from Finch, Sam, Leuluai, whoever else fancied a go meant that we were on the back foot and starting most of our sets deep in our own half.

| Tim Smith has never had a running game and poor defence. Even without his off-field issues he'd been found out in the NRL. A halfback who passes every time they get the ball is almost as ineffective as one who runs every time. The only exception I've seen is when Brent Sherwin played behind a pack including O'Meley, SBW and Mason, who just monstered the opposition.
Finch has always been a solid player but generally the support act (i.e. the opposite of Barrett). If you have a good halfback alonside him he'll be fine.

What happens when he has a Hooker playing alongside him?
