Amos is injured, gelling will be first team. It will be the likes of Sam powell, joe mellor, matty russell, jack hughes and maybe logan although i think he will play tuesday from the bench.

I'd guess we'll be looking at guys like Russell, Gelling, Mellor, L Tomkins, Dudson, Hughes and maybe Tuson then lining up alongside the out and out 20's players.

Looking forward to that one. It should be a really interesting game and a good challenge for a young Wigan side.

Brett Finch may play at Leigh.

Just read on his twitter he's back in Oz for a wedding coming back Monday so he's highly unlikely to be playing against Salford and i'd presume the club would want him to get another run before the season starts.

It'll be interesting to see which one of Powell or Russell gets a start at Salford alongside Tomkins and Leuluai.

Really looking forward to this game, i don't really mind which players you bring to the LSV it will be a good game i have no doubt about that, hope you bring a good following, see you at the LSV.

Since his drug ban, you couldn't call him a starting player last season he was either on the bench or not in the squad he needs to prove him self more to be a starting player. And I believe in time he will get back to that level and surpass his former self.

One more thing for those looking for a bite to eat some good food n ticket offers on in the banqueting - £30 + vat. Park inn is a few yards away, Morrisons has a cafe and does pies chicken etc, Legends bar at the front of West stand does pre match snacks eg pie n peas etc. Wetherspoons and Yates in town do cheap grub, plenty of take aways - all thats left in town these days. Pie n pint in ground £5

Am looking forward to this game regardless of which team you send. The money we make from this will help the club enormously and for that I (and many others), have a new found respect for all things Wigan.

I had been thinking of getting the bus from Atherton,then walking over the bridge to the Brittania and from there walking to the ground.
Would you say that I have more chance of a bit of banter in the Goose or the Brittania,or to put it another way where would one find a better class of supporter.

10-15 minutes at the most really. Always a good craic in there pre-match and a good range ales on. Food is decent enough as well.
