This is very disapointing in my opinion. Our fanbase is considerably bigger than Wires. Might have something to do with the AWFUL home and away jerseys last season

The pink home shirt was the best ever selling Wigan shirt.

I ended up loving this year's kit after initially loathing it. The kits over recent years in general have been very poor though, both home and away.

I think the merchandise sales arent that great due to poor facilities. That shop at the DW is utter crap, if we had a decent shop there we would sell loads more there for starters imo.

That shop in town has helped things a bit though imo. The online shop is poorly stocked with not many items available either which could improve.

I went in the DW sports near the stadium at one game last season and theres was loads more stuff for Saints and Wire than us, which ed me off!

The away one grew on me, but the home shirt still annoys me.

Probably to do with Wire hiring out the HJ and making plenty of money off that, you don't have that option.

what/where exactly is the DW shop?

Near the main entrance on match days only.

Its on the west stand towards the south iirc. Its a bit like a wardrobe in the side of a stadium. You can tell they built it with Latics in mind anyway

That is certainly something that could be improved no end. The high cost of postage does not help and puts you off buying. There are plenty of remote fans like me who would spend a lot more with the club if the merchandise were accessible but it isn't. It's a bit odd it is so rubbish given IL's main business is in IT. OK its computer security stuff his company does but he is hardly a technophobe is he!

The most annoying thing about the online shop (alongside the excessive p&p), is the fact everything is always awaiting an image. It cant be that hard to upload pictures of the merchandise surely?

That really does get on my nerves! How can i buy something that i dont know what it looks like? Lucky dip?

The club shop is so tiny and gets so packed on matchday thats its a pain to even get in there nevermind try anything on. So i go on the website and am greeted with no pictures of stuff so i dont know whats what! And we wonder why we dont sell as much merchandise as we should



I went up to the shop in the town centre the afternoon of the Catalans playoff game too because obviously im going up to Wigan anyway. I get parked up and then walk to it to find that its shut

i had checked the opening times before going too.

Thats because i was talking about the DW sports near the stadium as mentioned above. Three different paragraphs about three different places in the above post.
