Yet again the inconsistency of The RFL comes to the fore. Coley probably did deserve a ban, but Cooper and Emmitt have both been "let off" without a ban, even though they were found guilty of fighting and fined £500. What a surprise that Cooper is a Warrington player (with a tough match on Friday aginst Huddersfield) and any ban for Emmit would have ruled him out of tomorrow's clash against Wigan. I haven't seen the Cooper/Emmit incident, but the fact they were "fighting" surely means more than one punch was thrown. Remember that Fielden was suspended for defending himself and throwing a punch against Mason after he had been stamped on and also provoked by Griffin last year.

I honestly don't class Coley as a "dirty" player, hard yes, dirty no - but any instance of illegal play ( last year against Catalans, coincidentally the week before Wigan played Warrington) and now throwing one punch while defending his small teammate who was being manhandled by 3 Leeds players has again resulted in suspension. Contrast the several (3?) high tackles that Morley committed against Saints which went unpunished by the RFL, yet Tuson gets banned for tackling around the legs. Despite all these suspensions this year not one opposition player has actually been injured in any of the so-called illegal challenges - Lima's and Joel's earlier in the season included. Contrast Dureau who was hospitalised after an appalling late challenge by Carvell ( according to the commentators) who again escaped a ban.

Trolls may accuse some of us of paranoia, but there seems a blatant bias against Wigan and a definite favouritism towards Warrington ( and Leeds). Certainly the whole RFL Disciplinary system beggars belief.

I think it will be that in terms of props but leave Joel where he is and bring Farrell in the SR.

The one major gripe I have about consistency is regarding the Lee Smith incidents. Two pretty clear chicken wing tackles, or at least tackles which push the arm against the natural range of motion / place undue pressure on the joint. Jeff Lima received 1 match for each of his chicken wings against Saints. Lee Smith gets cited for one incident but let off because he lets go (despite already putting pressure on the joint) and the worst one doesn't even get cited. I fail to see where the consistency is. Both of Smith's challenges were as bad if not worse than Lima's yet he gets off scot free.
Was Lima banned just because of the Melbourne connection?

im a masive fan of Sam.......but he was crazy for not leaving well alone and taking the 2.
its ended up costing us Coley for 1 game when we are already short of props.

Surely not by tomorrow!?? Also is that definitely happening? I might be a bit naive but I would have thought there would have been an official announcement to say we were waiting on a work permit. Dont the permits sometimes take 6 weeks +, whats he doing about training? The season will be over before hes able to play!!

I'd guess they'd wait until he has the permit, makes a club look daft if they announce a signing then it falls through because the player couldn't get a work permit IMO.

If we score in the corner where Josh is unmarked he's hailed a genius. I agree we should have taken the 2, but bit harsh to blame Sam.

I'm sorry, but Sam never had any intention of trying to score a try from that position. He ran about a metre and then stopped, pointed at the leeds defence whilst turning to the ref.

If you play back the game on Sky, you hear a clear blast of the whistle from Alibert as Mcguire "tackles" Sam - Bailey and another Leeds player then come in as 2nd and 3rd man well after the whistle has been blown. Typical Bailey - instigating the trouble, but always managing to escape punishment.

We got another penalty so he was punished. It didn't deserve anything else.
