It isn't, not on any sensible definition. A very narrow statistician's definition of a city would put Manchester way down the list of UK cities for example, but it just isn't realistic to say Leeds is bigger than Manchester

3rd largest (by population for example). Manchester (not Greater Manchester) is 5th or 6th by the same measure. I could post a link if I was that bothered but you have probably looked into it yourself already so you know.

In England Manchester is 4th Leeds 5th....Behind London, Birmingham and Liverpool.

no mate, Leeds is only that large if you add its metro borough into it. If you want ot do that you will have to include greater manchetser. Glasgow is larger than them both but I used english cities in mine.

Leeds went to another level of cheating under Tony Smith and it is still there.
How anyone who watches that lot can criticise another club and it's players is laughable.

TBH this is typical of the Leeds fans who post on this board. Funny how they use the 'we booed him for England because he cheats at club level' excuse whilst completely ignoring the fact that their own side contains some of the biggest 'cheats' (by this definition) in Rugby League. Laughable.

On the misleading figures they're quoting my adopted city of Sheffield is bigger than Manchester. Having lived in both places I can tell you that it is a joke to suggest Sheffield is bigger than Manchester. No one I know in Sheffield would be so stupid as to suggest that. Leeds fans on the other hand seem quite happy to claim Leeds is bigger than Manchester.

While I agree it was not a try at all. I would question your geography. You do realise Leeds is in west Yorkshire and is one of the bigger cities outside of London. A lot more urban than Wigan, and not everyone is a farmer?
