United's centre backs were Ferdinand and Silvestre. They then signed Nemanja Vidic in January. Carragher is better than Silvestre but Vidic is much much better than Carragher. |

Ballcocks. Evra/Heinze-Rio-Vidic-GNev and don't forget we still had Piqué who has gone on to become one of Europe's better centre backs. Carragher was nowhere near 'walking into' that defence. |

He wouldn't have needed to fib. "All I'm thinking about is playing for Wigan".
I wouldn't blame him at all for taking the payday, as I don't blame Eastmond. I DO however blame Eastmond for openly courting it (not suggesting for a moment that Tomkins' comments equate to Eastmond's whoring himself about amidst the prawn sandwich eaters). |
