Got there are 9am and there were about 50 in front of me, got the tickets and there were about 100 behind me when I left.

Always cutting it a bit fine for getting to work in time if I go to the stadium at 9am, especially if there's a small queue, so sorted two tickets out online earlier today - was thinking I'd nip to the ticket office tomorrow morning if they didn't get put on the website, but by the looks of the above I might've been disappointed!

Widnes seems to have become an annual trip over the past couple of years even before the Vikings getting their SL place back.

Only going to get chance to grab some later. If there's none left I'll book some from Saints in the Main stand down towards our end.

Yes they will, if they follow the path taken when Warrington came to town. Their fans also made a great big song and dance about tickets.

I was charged as an adult even though I am a student..... why do they not have a student ticket when we offer one to their away fans? Shocking in my opinion. I wonder if they offer a student ticket to the other clubs or is it just the arrangement at Widnes?

Saints don't do student tickets anymore, for their own fans for for any fans.

Is there any particular reason for that? Do any other clubs not offer student tickets? Would have thought this year they'd want as many bodies in the stadium as possible.

No idea why Saints abandon the student ticket. We used to have one but not for this season and not for anyone.

They should bring it back for the move into the new stadium. 17quid for every time you want to attend a game is just rather expensive on a student budget.

It depends what kind of student you're talking about. Students attracting a student loan put away that price in beers on a regular basis so all they need to do is choose where to spend their money.

Not from a Saints POV really. Saints now offer year long monthly direct debits on season tickets for as little as £18 per month. That's ideal for a student wanting to go to Saints home games. Some months a season ticket holder can watch a home game for as little as £6. I'm sure Saints (or any club) lose out financially on offering student tickets as they are an unpredictable demographic.

Oh FFS...as long as it counts as a +1 on your attendances there should be an arrangement made, regardless of where they may or may not spend their money in their own time.

Yeah I guess. I just think that you have more chance of attracting students if you offer a student price, whether it's direct debit or not, a cheaper price will attract more people. Of course how many of those students would be willing to pay full price determine whether it'd be worthwhile financially for the club. Personally I'd say more fans in the stadium should be a priority for saints right now, with playing at Widnes and moving to the new ground soon.
