Bang on mate. Some of the e i heard in the stands today about finch was embarrassing. Come on here after a great derby win, and people are still having a p1ss and moan now! Will never be happy.

Finch wasnt a state of origin player for nothing. Expecting him to light the place up after 4 or 5 games is ridiculous. I thought he had a much better game today. Linked up much better and tried out some different passes.

As for Deacs, his kicking game was great today, plus the match winning pass and regardless of his size, he will throw himself about and tackle anything. Glad he was back.

Deacon is up there with Carmont as competing for the "most undervalued player" award.

If I have one worry about this season it's that MM will use Deacon without bringing anyone on for next season.

just watched the replay and deacons pass to faz to put him in the hole simply class and it won us the game

I've seen a fair few Wigan games this season and Deacon makes a massive difference, the way you were moving the ball wide yesterday with him in the team was much more effective than when he hasn't been there, and apparently you were much better at KR last week with him in the team. To knock him for the odd individual mistake whilst completely ignoring the way he makes you tick in attack is poor.

What's embarrassing is that SFW can read the Wigan game better than most of our fans. One of the main reasons for our previous dismal form is the lack of shape that missing Deacon brings. Some of our attacking play with this shape is scintillating, but terrible without. Not just that but our lack of shape, our flatness also brings out mistakes and knock-ons.

Re. Finch - anyone with a remote understanding of RL can see that yes e is struggling, but he's getting better every game. Also that he's showing aspects of his game that indicate in the long term he'll be an excellent addition to the squad.

Go back a few years and change Finch for Richards.

How did Trent Barrett adapt, was he great from the off? Genuine question.

Barrett was more cold than hot when he was with us.

When he was hot though, he was blistering.

Deacon makes the the game look easy, the best displays have come when he is on the pitch. As for the replacement for Deacon that is were Finch came in. Deaocn was not expected to play for another season but he offers the team a lot in terms of expereience, he does not get flustered and will make the right decision more often than not

We dont need him hes crap and not good enough you can tell after 2-3 games if a player is good enough for Wigan. Wont amount to anything and never be a great in SL. No chance of Man of Steel.

AHH its 2011 thought people were taling about Pat Richards in his first season.

And you can gurantee that these people who are now calling for Lima and Finch to go always knew Richards would be as good as he is today.

After playing only 5 games for a new team in one of the most important positions in the team its decided finch is not good enough get shut.

Even Matt king took time to settle. He has turn out to be a good player for Wire.
