| Most people have got a conception that Lima is an impact prop, who will come onto the pitch with 20 mins gone. Run in 10 carries make holes in the defence and change the game.
Those people are wrong. At the storm iirc he was a starting prop who laid the platform for the rest of the game. So he run it in. Made metres and did the hard yards.
If you notice. Loads of other players do chicken wing tackles. In the Rugby League Express under the Huddersfield highlights, it looks like one of their guys is using the non ball handling arm as a leverage.
However, due to some people (Wilkin). He has been highlighted early on as a bad tackler. So whenever something dubious happens. People react ott. Lay off the chap.

| Couldn't agree more - has anyone actually ever been injured by one of Lima's allegedly illegal tackles? Certainly not this season, not sure about in the past.

He's going to end someone's career soon, maybe that work will go unnoticed too.'"
Another pathetic newcomer jumping on the first bandwagon he sees.
I know of no player whose career he's ended to date. Or in fact any player who has even been injured by Wigan's shocking tactic of tackling around the legs.
Is a time ever coming when people like you will be content just to let the game be played, and not seek constantly to find ways to hobble the opposition?

| I think as a Hull fan I was expecting a lot from your 3 Storm signings but have not been blown away by what I have seen. They have been solid though. But that is maybe what they did at Melbourne, which allowed the Slaters, Inglis, Smiths and Cronks to do the flair stuff?

I think you need to give them a bit more time.
Finch has to date played about 3 and a half matches.
Lima is a disappointment, but only in that he's also missed more than he's played, in his case though suspension.
Anyone who thinks that Hoffman hasn't been playing extremely well must have very high standards indeed.

What the RFL should do is to instigate a six sigma project into the types of tackles that actually cause injuries, and which teams/players are most responsible.

| I see the RFL have been embarrassed into banning a Leeds player for a whole game.

| This witch hunt against Lima should really stop now.
As for our fans who were slagging him off for the tackle at HKR where he was put on report you really need to take a look at yourselves - there was nothing wrong with the tackle - Lima was holding the player round the thighs when all the HKR players piled in - he didn't even go in aggressively.
Until the ref shouts held or the tackle is complete then a) that player can still offload, b) they are still eligible to be tackled.
Since when did tackling round the thighs become outlawed? Do we want our players to stand around and admire a player offloading out of a 2 man tackle?
I can't believe Lima gets so much attention when there was a late tackle on Tommy where he was clearly hit late, and very hard after a kick (which set up a try). those arehe sort of tackles which can end a career and put the player out of the reat of the game - but what takes up all the headlines?
It's a pathetic witch hunt and us taking focus away from the real problems in the game - the head high shots, elbows and late hits on kickers.

| I honestly think that further into this season and beyond, Lima will turn out to be an extremely good signing.
When he was banned for the "bad tackle around the legs" incident, you can see by his face that he never meant to go in to do damage, he just seems to be one of those guys that is gonna get reported for anything. Kinda like an opposite to a Whino?
I did like how at the end of the Hull KR match, people started running in to brawl before he actually made contact. "Oh no, hes going for the legs, get him!!!!!!!!!!" lol.
In all seriousness he got the guy round the thighs to stop the momentum and end the tackle, nothing malicious. It cracks me up when supporters from other clubs claim that Wigan are the dirtiest team with Lima and Sam.
Anyway, once Stu is back, it will be an excellent front row.

A tackle which Tommy made sure he let the player responsible know he wasnt too happy about when walking to give George a pat on the back.

| I am still not convinced by him but I am willing to give him time, he has created a rod for his own back meaning he is going to be under the microscope by the Refs for his entire career in SL.
His form in the NRL dropped off significantly last season, which cost him his rep shirt and I do not think he has the impact or ability to power through contact that he did prior to last season.
I like smart players, I think the more smart players you have in a team the better the team will be, he at the moment is not playing smart rugby, but time will tell I guess. If he can find the form of 2009 he will be amongst the top Props in the comp without any doubt.

| I think too many are expecting Jeff to be making 40 yard breaks and creating impact like Feka did for 3 minutes every time he entered the pitch, where as Lima is totally different player from Feka and makes good strong yards without people noticing.
He will be even better once he sorts out his fortnightly trip to the RFL, I am sure.
