In tonights Observer Stu has had another clean out op of his knee yesterday and will be out for 2-3 months.

Perhaps BMD should get the Leeds players to "ringfence" some ball, then you wouldn't lose it.

That's a shame. But never the less I'm sure we'll cope fine. I've been highly impressed with Mossop and Prescott these past few weeks, so if they both can keep it up we'll be reet.

What's happened for him to need another op though, thought he had a similar one pre-season.

We should cope and it is quality that we can still cover the amount of players we have out. We should take massive momentum through the season with all the players we have still to return.

He's also tweeted that he's going to be out for 4 months. Will be a major boost to have both hock and stu back in the side though won't it?

Hopefully prekky and mossop carry on in the form which they have shown early doors because we will need it with the likes of warrington coming up in the next few weeks!

I thought that. IIRC I had him in my top three as MOM on here for the Bradford game. I'm guessing the knee broke down in training the week after that game because he hasn't been seen since

Gutted about Fielden, he was superb last year and he was solid down under I thought.

Maybe he will at least be back for saints away and the run in at the end of the season.

My worry is that we have quite a few players out now and if we get a couple more injuries over the next few games then we could really start to struggle. Our strength in depth willl only go so far. Imagine what our team would look like if we suddenly lost Lockers and Tomkins.....

The strength in depth will be tested in the coming weeks now.

With Finch, Richards, the other Centre, O'Carroll and Fielden now out the injuries are stacking up. There could be a fair bit of re-jigging needed if we get any more forwards injured during a game.

i honestly think this is a major blow for us. paaaaaat it still a while off, no sign of finch yet, o carroll out, fielden out, rumours about Gleeson. Our young kids are really gonna have to step up week in week out. That is a big ask. Ifw e lose many more, defending the title is gonna be a very very tough ask. The only silver lining is that at the moment Saints, Leeds and Wire also have injury problems. Ours unforunately though are all long term it seems.

Not looking forward to an away trip to Hudds followed by Wire at home followed by Leeds away. Anymore injuries on sunday and I think we should be happy to win one of those. However, this team always steps up a gear when they need to, hopefully they will do the same.

Missing Fielden for another 4months is a MAJOR blow IMHO, and I just don't think the props we have left apart from Lima are going to be very effective.

Did we not just do pretty well in the World Club Challenge without Fielden and Lima. Granted we lost but I'm certainly not panicking at the lost of one player. I have faith in our squad. Someone will step up now and surprise us.

I think Prescott and Mossop will step up now. They've started this season great.

They were superb in the WCC and as Bilko said, we coped. But can they back it up week after week?
