As Cherry.Pie has posted this is the same injury that David Vaealiki had, and we all saw how it affected him. Pat Richards will probably looking for his last big contract, and I don't believe we should give him one unless he proves himself to be fully fit and back up to speed. A loss of say five meters would be far too much to risk.

If he does, then no problem, he has been a great servant to Wigan, but it's wait and see IMO.

If him and Lenegan can agree to a decision then i'll keep him at Wigan till he retires - I'll be absolutely over the moon if he does stay because I have the full confidence in Lenegan that he isnt going to end up paying Pat a large percentage of the Salary Cap and end up losing good youngsters because of it. That just isnt going to happen at Wigan anymore.

His kicking skills are worth his weight in gold - I saw somewhere that if Warrington had kicked all of their missed goals last season they would have finished top, No-ones obviously going to kick every single goal all season, not even Pat but it just goes to show how important having a good kicker in your team is.

Good point, i think people (myself included) do sometimes overlook how important having a great kicker is - take Farrell for instance, he was an incredible kicker but doesnt really get enough recognition for that imo - mainly due to the fact that he was incredible in many other aspects of his game too!

Before the injury 'yes' but now I would see how he goes, maybe a 1 year with a 2nd and 3rd in our favour if he demands one now but I wouldn't break the bank, I would for Sam.

I love Pat Richards and want him to retire at Wigan as long he carries on the way he always has and doesn't start demanding more pay messing up the pay structure at the club, I'm sure he's on a good enough screw as it is.

But, Westwood had a better kicking average than Hodgson last season.

I think Lee was still kicking against Leeds last year. So that would be well into july.

The highlight is that Brett hasn't missed a kick for Warrington yet. That is 100% kicking. I think Myler arraged that last year and he kicked once. Maybe :S

I think we must do everything to keep Pat Richards. I do get perplexed at time with some of our experts who are asking Pat to prove what he can do. For information he was not the first kicker at Wests or Eels but was no 2 both times and also drop out kicker.

It would be a better contribution if the facts of opinions were correct.

If it was a kick to decide a match, I'd want Faz to take it instead of Richards. As great as Pat is, just because you kick the most goals doesn't mean you're necessarily the best kicker.
