it's a blooming long drive. i did it for a football cup final (Not the Pathetics one) once and vowed never EVER to do it on a coach again

thats fair enough really. If its on again I might consider driving it next time. As long as there are places near the stadium to park then I'll definately consider it

The roof will make little or no difference to the temperature inside the stadium.

Just turn your heating off at home for a few days and see how cold it is.

I would but no trains back to Stafford from Cardiff on the Saturday after the game. Going up to family in Wigan to watch it instead, total £10 for train, including first class on the way back.

Weather is looking good and apparently accommodation still available from hotels,through B&B's to camp sites,particularly outside of Cardiff city.

Ive never been to cardiff, can you freely go in and out of the ground during the course of the day or is it once you are in you stay in ?

If so is there other things going on around the ground as i cant see my little lad being very still during the games until Wigan kick off at 7

Last time we went they gave us a wristband to wear, allows you to come and go as you please. Plenty to do within walking distance of the ground as it's located right within the City Centre.

To compare, think of Old Trafford located two streets away from Picadilly Square in Manchester.

Ive just spoke to the RFL and they have no saturday unreserved tickets left, does anyone know where wigan are located for allocated section?

Got mine from Wigan today only had the £35 tickets for the Saturday, but got 50% off with my season ticket

Not sure what they had left for the full weekend

As I said on the VT, the sad thing about all the MM negativity is that if those fans who whinge about this event just went once - we'd pack out the Millennium Stadium and it would be a huge statement of intent by our sport.

People whinge about us not appearing big time, and union often pulling off these big events, but too many people aren't prepared to "be" that person in the crowd, to "be" the reason an event is successful, like union fans are only to happy to be. It's easier to sit back, watch something fail, then say "I told you so".

Opening day of the season, some of the biggest games in club RL, ridiculously bargainous prices, world class stadium, great access to city centre - but it's still not enough.

It begs the question - is there anything the RFL can possibly offer that would ever be enough for these people?
