It would be amazing, an atmosphere like we have never had before at the new stadium, dark winters night, fireworks, the lot. Like manly at CP all over again (although I wasnt born to witness it) And four stands full of cherry and white, why anyone would want it anywhere else is beyond me.

You get the feeling that we are on the verge of writing a new chapter in our glorious history. One thing the JJB/DW has been lacking is that link with the great era's that came whilst we were at Central Park. It's time to make history at our new home and leave some unforgettable memories. What better opportunity to do this than hopefully parading our 4th World Club Challenge success around our Wigan home in front of 25,000 Wiganers

The DW is not big enough for the WCC, think about all the fans who would not be able to get a ticket.

DW is too small in my opinion, and it would feel less 'special' having the WCC at our home ground in my opinion.

I think Eastlands would be perfect, although I doubt City would allow league to be played on the pitch at the beginning of February!

Could do it at the Reebok, although I really don't care much for the stadium.

Whatever, the RFL need to promote this game big style, and try and attract neutral supporters for what should be a classic.

Has to be the DW and make it a proper occasion. Players from WCC's of the past parading before the game, fireworks, one-off shirt, matchball walked from the old CP site, show off the SL trophy before kick off, etc. Could be awesome.

Our 1st WCC attracted 38k at Elland Rd. Why not try anfield and go for 40k+?

Well after watching (well watching teletext) the world club challenge in brisbane many years ago my heart would say i would love to try to make it to sydney and watch wigan take on the dragons in their own back yard

But Elland Rd is still in Leeds isnt it? The problem weve got is PROBABLY the DW isnt big enough, but we dont have another stadium in the town. By moving the game into another town just means extra costs for fans and would probably mean not even getting the same amount of Wigan fans in the ground.
The DW with 25K screaming fans is a very intimidating place to be for an away side. Jusy ask previous Aussie touring parties.

Not sure why people think I'm obsessed with neutrals (though if you ask me it would be great for RL as a whole if there was a truly big crowd for the WCC)... the main reason I suggested COMS is that I'd like to think we could muster more than 25k fans to watch a game of that magnitude and I'd like as many Wigan fans as possible to be there. Sorry if that has offended people....

Bloomfield road, Blackpool - with its posh new stand. I'd even try and get the illuminations switched on for a couple of nights in February.....! TBH, they take them down very,very slowly - normally takes till the end of Feb, then they start putting them back up at the beginning of March!

Nice to have a real "home game" for all the ex-Wiganers currently living on the Fylde coast!

I was at CP for the Manly game and if the game is not held in WIGAN I for one will not be going. If Wiganers do not get a HOME game as a result of winning the Grand Final then our own fans are being Robbed. Why let some other ground benefit from us bringing the Aussies over here to play the GREATEST name in Rugby League!

I see what you mean but Leeds isn't exactly a small place. Some people have to travel 10-15 miles or more to get to the grounds. Surely that's similar to you guys going to Manchester or Liverpool?
