But as we didn't actually gain possession of the ball, that WAS the correct decision. If Riddell had taken the ball in two hands and THEN kicked, we would have been taking advantage. The advantage rule is there to cover a team making a pressure play they wouldn't normally risk without the safety of "first knock on". Kicking the ball through doesn't wipe out that particular infringement.
As for Cudjoe's try, seen it again now, as others have said he was onside. It was a very good try.
