| Quote ="jonh"made a couple of errors for me, knock on was a poor one and also missed a couple of tackles.
Pryce was dropped for less after the Wakefield. It will be an interesting selection next week.'"
I believe Pryce was dropped for a poor attitude and I think that is the main reason why players get dropped. Not for the odd mistake.
Quote For what its worth I do not think he had a bad game at all, i just think at the moment both are so close to each other in getting the shirt the smallest error costs them.'"
I don't believe it is down to errors for any player (unless they are really bad) but attitude. I think of the two Goulding is by far the more enthusiastic and looks far more committed than Pryce does. I think that will earn Goulding more Browney points.
My own view is IL told Madge to give Pryce a fair go of a few games to have a look what he thought and Pryce failed to impress so got dropped.

| I am liking the look of Sam at full back. Give him another month or so there as he will only get better IMO. Roberts once he is fit can rediscover his full match fitness, confidence and form on the wing and review the situation in a month or so.
Sam chiming in at pace from deep is quite simply terrifying for the oppositions defence and utilises Sam's excellent running game to its potential.

| Goulding has rarely had a poor game, always looks like giving his all, (everyone in team makes a few mistakes per game) as for pryce well, yes he has scored a few tries but look at the tries only one against saints needed to be scored the rest were simply catch the ball and fall over line, I find that pryce loses interest too easily especially when things not going his way, and how many times when we are getting beat does he suddenly get injured? Darrell before Karl everytime for me

| Is it wrong to say because Goulding is a Wiganer i feel more sympathetic towards him and would give him the nod if it was 50/50 playing ability?

| I think that there is very very little to chose between them in the coaches eye which is why we are seeing them switched for selection so often.
Pryce did not have a poor game vs Wakefield 2 positional errors I feel cost him his place, Goulding had a good game vs Les Cats but came up with a couple of unforced errors.
Other players can make errors because they are more established in the team, these 2 are vying for the same spot and neither can get a decisive foothold in it, which is why I feel these basic errors cost them a spot.
I think it will be very interesting to see who is selected for the Salford game (assuming both are fit).

I dont understand what you mean when you say Pryce's positional errors at Wakefield cost him his place because he played the week after against St Helens

That could be true. Pity Ainscough doesn't get the same "clean slate" treatment.

Apologies it came down to 2 weeks in a row Wakefield and Saints where he made the same positional errors only very subtle ones but they were repeated errors.
I feel Goulding is doing lots right but again he was guilty of the same errors on Sunday.
I also wonder what the injury to Pryce and more recently Goulding will play in selection.

Depends on Amos, I guess, but it might give Charnley a chance.
