| It doesn't matter a row of beans but I was wondering what are the rules regarding coaches going on the pitch? I thought they had to stay inside those white rectangles just in front of the benches but at one stage JK and his oppo were both stood on the pitch for a few seconds while they were telling their players what they wanted them to do. Didn't Agent Millward get in bother over this when he was Saints coach.

| Thought Kear was better than, it was a quiet atmosphere due to his team being totally blown away in the first half, and the fact that they brought about 500 max supporters. Seems like he is another coach who cant compete with Wigan so he will just try and complain about us

| Just think about what kear would of been thinking before the match.. We had a very tough game on friday and a number of players out
But we blew them away easily, only the injuries to amos, lelulai and o'loghlin casued the reorg that give wakefield a few tries once they settled into the new pattern we stuffed them again
Wakefield are not a side at the bottom of the table they had only lost 3 games this year im sure they were expecting to be able to compete but they were nowhere near, as a coach he had no answers apart from ' give them '

We probably have the joint best away following in SL with Warrington.

You should be grateful for whoever we bring to your dump, as it more or less doubles your attendance. If you want to convince yourself we only bring about 400 then carry on

| I think that will end the discussion of whether to move from Friday Nights to Sunday Afternoons for league games.
There's something about the crackle of a Friday night game to get the juices going. Today was very flat (yes I know the score didn't help).

| This is the same coach that beat Wigan in the CCF in 98 using under arm tactics and pushing those tactics to the limit slowing the ruck down and stopping Wigan from playing their natural game he seams to have forgotten that he used these so called slowing down tactics and got away with it in 98 no sympathy or respect for the man any more, small minded frustrated coach
Hope Roberts who isnt hurt very badly and if so he recovers pretty quick always gets me excited when he gets the ball his second try today was superb

| Reading the full quote, im not sure if Kear is actually having a go at us
I think he says the crowd only got going in the second half which was true to be fair, after all wernt we 18 up after 15mins, Wakefield hardly made any impact in the first half.
He is also complimentary in saying we walloped them and strangled the life out of them, I can only recall a few pens for lying on (Coley twice when will he learn)

| A little embarrassing and petty of Kear to make those comments, for a guy who seems so honest and likable on TV, he hasn't half made himself look like a twerp.

This is the full statement....
Quote Wakefield coach John Kear: "We were poor. You just have to look at the scoreboard and you don't have to be a technical genius to realise they walloped us. They choked the life out of us and completely controlled the first half so good on them. They were superb, they strangled us out of the game, but if I want to watch four or five men in a ruck or a maul, I'd rather go to Twickenham. The game is cyclical and we're seeing what the Australian game went through two or three years ago. They went to two referees to sort out the rucks and as a game we need to look at our philosophy. We might have to change the way things are refereed. What we saw today certainly wouldn't excite me – it's like watching paint dry. (The atmosphere) was like a cathedral. It got exciting in the second half when we made it a bit of a contest and the Wigan crowd enjoyed that."'"

| Fwiw thought wigan completely outclassed us today and played really entertaining rugby. Unfortunately, it was over as a contest after 20 mins and although we were far from our best we got beat by a very classy side. Good luck for the rest of your season, and hope Amos makes a speedy recovery.

| I'm so puzzled by teams complaining about three man tackles ruining the game. If you teach your players to offload there's a huge gap to be exploited.

| With regards to Kear's comments about the quiet atmosphere I think there were a few reasons:
1. In my opinion you now get much better atmospheres at night matches in comparison to the traditional 3pm kick-off.
2. It was a case of after the Lord Mayors show after Friday, how on Earth was today ever going to match up to our win at KR.
3. The obvious bad injury to Amos must have been a downer for a majority of the crowd.
4. Most importantly, Wakefield never even made a game of it to get the crowd energised. So I'd suggest getting their own house in order before pointing the finger elsewhere.

Wigan dominating , "let's move the goal posts ".....sound familiar???...1995 Deja Vu

| I've lost all respect for John Kear after reading his post-match comments and what was apparently said to two substitutes.
Talk about bitter

| For there to be a good atmosphere there needs to be a contest, arm wrestle or whatever you want to call it on the pitch. Unfortunatley Mr Kear your team were so it was like an exhibition game. How he can have a dig at us is unbelievable!
