I'd say so after tonights performance, Coley and Fielden are the obvious ones and continue to impress this year. Prescott and O'Carrol both had good games aswell with the added size of Mossop playing Loose/3rd Prop when Lockers went into stand-off, it worked really well imo. Very happy with the first 65 minutes of Rugby, it was enjoyable to watch in attack and feriocious in defence. Also, it felt as though our error count was very low too and we played some very classy stuff.

HOWEVER! (Warning, negativity approaching....)

I was very annoyed with the last 15 minutes and it took a bit of shine off the game. People may try to brush it off as ''the game was won'' etc but a very good full 80 minute, consistant performance is what seperates a good team from a trophy winning team and the moment we're not there yet.

That ankle tap cost me £15!!

MM is complaining we only played for 72 minutes! Drop the lot of 'em I say

Think if you take were Wigan were in the League after the 1st 6 games last season and compare to this year,then yes they have had massive strides....

Last week and this we've taken our foot off the gas for 55 minutes in total and leaked 40 points - we aint good enough to be able to do that.

However lets end on a positive note - our front three completely dominated the Hull pack and laid the platform for a good win.

And so he should.

Seriously though, great response, shame about the last 10 minutes but on we move to Cas away.

Every week seems to be a big challenge, IMO our away form hasnt been as good as home (obviously) so will be interesting too see how we cope against Cas, if it was at home I would be confident of a win but im really not sure...

Our best way of beating anyone this season is down the sides of the pitch using our centres/wingers. There playing awesome and long may it continue as Wainwright, Shenton and whoever else they play wont be able to handle Goulding/Carmont/Gleeson nevermind Richards and Famous Amos.

Longs try was a farce! A blatent knock on by O'Meely who volleyed the ball 30 metres away in frustration yet didn't get pulled up for it.

The late trys were the only downside tonight and it's something we need to work on but i'm sure they know that. I look forward to seeing if we can actually put our first really good away preformence together next week against Cas now.

im really nervous about the cas game already. i hate us going to Wheldon Road.

That's exactly how it should be - Each game on it's merits - One week at a time.
The tape of Fridays game will be dissected & those who "failed to do their job" will have that pointed out.
Then the Cas games will be dissected & a game plan sorted.

I thought Mossop made a massive difference to us last night. He really is a terrific prospect and it's an exciting thought to think how good the lad can become.

And if Noble had not built the team and structures in the club we had when they took over where would MM and SW be now.

We would have had loads of bad players no training facility's and a youth system where most players left for other club.

Its a silly comment you made Noble did more for the club than you realize.
