Melbourne would be a superb twin for the club, their recent success coupled with their use of the most cutting edge techniques and methods would only enhance are own chances of future success.

Now with McGuire in charge and Lenegan's much publicized admiration for the Storm, it would seem an ideal and likely partnership to happen, no doubt if used correctly we stand to gain a lot from it, whether Melbourne would as well I don't know.

That's my worry (early days yet I know), but we seem to have found ourselves a fantastic coach. The trouble is he's probably going to want to go back to Oz at some point in the not so distant future.

And if he's lonely he can bring that Slater fellow for company !!

If we have got a tie up, could this lead to us getting some of there players in for the playoffs at the end of the season like Andrew Johns did for Wire a few years ago. Can imagine having to accomodate Slater or Inglis for a few weeks, perhaps wouldnt be fair on Phelps or whoever would drop out but still...

You'd be miffed though if you'd play your heart out wearing the cherry and white all season and then were replaced by an import, for a play-off series, who hadn't played a game for the club.

As far as I'm concerned that stands even if it is someone of the quality of Slater or Inglis.

Love it. It was reported in the Metro this morning that Brian McLennan was calling on supporters of all SL clubs to get behind Leeds on Sunday. Balls to that! I thinks Saints, Wakey, Bradford, Cas etc. fans would agree.

McLennan's lost the plot if he expects us to get behind our 'friends' from over the pennines. We know to whom our loyalties lie!

I was going to ask if I was the only one getting cheesed off with the dodgy SKY promo for the WCC with Nick Clegg and Cameron etc getting behind Leeds and urging us to do the same... Not a snowballs chance in hell of that, lets have the Storm smashing them all over the place and making their poor start to the year even worse

Always the danger that our link-up would effectively turn us into a feeder club for the NRL - all our good youngsters would want to play for the Storm and they'd be free to send and recall players at a whim (much like we appear to have done to Widnes with Ainscough).

It's hardly easy to recall someone from the other side of the world. Any loan deals would be for a season or two I would think!

Melbournes number 10 who plays in the toyota cup is an amazing player, looks like Adam Blair, would love us to get him. Maguire will know which ones to get though, I trust him.

We are getting carried away though, it might not even be Melbourne.
