| Not just the game but i enjoyed the whole day round St Helens, can't remember the final score tho, i think 30 29 at KR, 20 nil down, Robinson hat trick, Carney tackle, Sculthorpe miss.

Without doubt the greatest Wigan game of the decade.

| I havent been to any of the great games mentioned of the decade, I always seem to miss them all. My biggest regret was not going to the Bradford away playoff in 2007.
The best game of the decade I would say I've been to is the game at Knowsley Road was it 2003, when Robinson scored a hattrick and Brown scored two. I was sat in the Saints stand for this game and even though I was only 13 I went mental

Purely based on the quality of the game, I would have to agree.

Wigan had about seven players who had been given the day off school to play in that game.

That's one school that you go to on Good Friday.
Top sporting weekend for me that. Beat Stains on Good Friday and then Latics win the 2nd division on the Saturday

| Quote ="Mother Feka"agree with all of these, we've had some crackers. Another one i loved was in 2006, we were in the relegation zone, just deducted 2 points, looked sure to be going down then we go to Leeds and beat um, that try from Calderwood, set up by Ashton, everyone was screaming their fookin heads off, just felt like we were sticking 2 fingers up to the RFL and the rest of Super League
'"
Watched that one again last night before going to bed - Ashton & Calderwood were superb and would have just got better had Ashton not defected but the game I watch time and again - especially the 2nd half - is the Bradford one, not just for the comeback itself which was awesome but for the great shots of the fans going balistic and jumping up and down like loons en masse then when Pat popped the drop goal over there is a guy in a Wigan top on one of the balconies behind the sticks looks like he is on a trampoline

| It's interesting that we've all found fairly good things to remember from what's generally seen as a naff decade. But then it would be considerably harder remembering good things from the 1990s, as so many good things happened that they all tend to blend into one.
For me, Murrayfield has to be in contention for our best game of the Noughties. A rightly vaunted Saints side looked totally clueless as unfancied Wigan tore up the formbook and created a massive upset. Though why Wigan were unfancied when you look back at the team - Farrell, Connolly, Radlinski, Dallas, Lam, etc - is beyond me. What I'd give to have any of those players, at the peak of their power, in our side for 2010.

Its been a naff decade by our standards, if it was any other team other than Saints, Leeds and Bradford, it would be classed as very succesful.

It was because they beat us 19-0 a few rounds earlier, and at that point played and lost against the rest of the previous season's top four (Bradford, St Helens and Hull), Radlinski was playing on one foot and we only had three props, one of which was Ricky Bibey!

Our form just hadn't been that good irrc and Saints had been sensational in the build up. I remember us scraping through the semi against Cas with a few nervy moments and us just waiting for a few players to find form.
I agree we'd give our rights arms to have players of the calibre of Lam, Craig Smith and Farrell in this current side. If we had those 3 in their pomps with the current squad we'd be winning everything imo.

| Didn't want to be greedy and to be fair we wouldn't need them all anyway.
The standard of superleague has fallen quite away since 2002 imo(or at least the top teams standards have).
That 2002 Wigan side would pi*s all over the superleague teams of today.

| There have been some classics , one of me faves was the 29-28 win at knowsley road , 2001 i think. Brian Carney put in an immense tackle on Sullivan to stop him winning it. Very hot summers evening , haven't had one of them for a while or a win at KR.

Intreresting comment that, and I also think the 1995 side would beat both of them
