There aren't many former backs players from England who are now coaches are there? It's either him or Harris and I'd take wright any day of the week.
I hope radders has a larger role next season and I'd love us to bring in sculthorpe to work with wane on the forwards.
Let's set up a winning and pro culture at the club from the top down.

| i love the way everyone goes on this forum and bangs on about we want all british club from reserve to head coach, now everyone is asking for aussie conditioning coaches and greg inglis, billy slater get a grip, if we need anything we need a good house forward and a new 6/7,

| Quote ="DaveO"Not sure what is going on there. MM can't have had much chance to decide on the last two you mention. If you listened to the IL interview on the club web site he says the likes of those last two and Foreshaw have the right to be considered for jobs but its up to MM and he (IL) is happy to stand aside and let him decide who he wants.
So if anything all that could mean is no decision has really been made but in the meantime they have not been sacked .
Dave'"
I think you've probably got it bang-on there. He said that Shaun Wane had been appointed, and that Shaun had already had conversations with MM on the phone, which presumably means that that one is permanent, but that other changes were down to MM once he's found his feet.

I hope he does! My CV will be straight through mum and dads door for the conditioning post given they live a few doors down from me!!
Seriously though i genuinely hope we could bring him to the club Vivers and Forshaw need to go, we need a new broom. Wright to me is potentially a very good coach who can offer a club a great balance of skills.

Not sure anyone has banged on about a full British club? If they have they are in a minority! As for Slater and Inglis any fan would be crazy if they did not want them at there club, i feel Wigan fans want the best people to coach there team regardless of where they come from.
The last statement.....we all know although personally i am happy with TL as a 7.

| I know for a fact that IL isn't the biggest fan of Phil Vievers so i would be very surprised if he were to stay at the club.
Maybe for this year the set-up will look something like:
First Team Head Coach - Maguire
First Team Assistant - Wane
Reserves - Pendlebury
Academy - Rads
Conditioner - Hampo or another new recruit.

Why not?
That setup looks possible, but who will be the other 2 1st team assistants, do Pendlebury & Rads double up, or do we appoint two other people?
Why doesnt IL like PV?

I think that will be very close to the "team".

I think that looks pretty good but if McGuire is going to follow a similar patten to what was at the storm then we may see another assistant coach come in, and my guess would be that he recruits an Australian conditioner somebody that he knows and has experience of dealing with.

While you're at it
I would love a Dean Bell type character around the club again.
I think Radlinski is a good shout for the Reserves coach. Shaun Wane seems to understand the culture that is needed at this club again and from his book Radlinski seems to as well. He can build on from Shaun Wane has done.

Pendlebury is probably one of the most under rated coaches in the game, would be a loss if Nobby takes him or Macquire does want him.
