| I too think Martin Offiah is an absolute idiot. He cannot see how unprofessional it is to shamefully promote is clients especially Myler on National Tv...I don't think he is doing Myler any favours either. Fans will be sick of hearing about him an that just puts pressure on the youngster when there is clearly enough pressure on him already.
I think Tomkins has been the better player by far this season he has been consistently good since he was given his chance. Offiah mentioning the age issue is a joke as Myler is younger than Sam by 12months I believe, at least get your facts right. I am sure if he was Sams Agent he would be saying that Sam is the best half back, he is employed by Sky and Boots and All to give an objective view which he seems incapable of doing. Sack him and lets get someone more interesting and someone who can articulate a decent sentence...

| Quote ="NickyKiss"I'd probably agree aswell.
Maybe not from rugby alone but from all his tv preformences. If you asked all Rugby fans in the country they may say that Robinson or Hanley were more famous but thats not the whole population.
My mum, Sister and Girlfriend(not the same person by the way before any inbred Wiganer jokes come about) all would know who Martin Offiah is but not Robinson or Edwards.
He's still a total tool mind.'"
I'd go with that.

I personally don't rate Myler one bit. I think because he put a few good performances in people aka Eddie Hemmings started creaming themselves about him.
Tomkins is by far the better player.

I rate Myler, he's a good young player, and to say you don't rate him one bit is a bit daft.
But Tomkins is a much, much better prospect IMO.

Honestly I don't think he's as good a player as what some people say he is. Eastmond and Tomkins are both miles better IMHO.

Totally agree.
Eastmond and Sam are just such dangerous players, you never know what they are going to do next. They are thrilling to watch.

| Myler will get picked for England no.7 simply because he will play for Warrington next year, it's Tony Smith we're talking about. As for his ability, he's not on the same level as Eastmond and Sam. Yes he is a good prospect but how many times this year has he gone missing in big games. Sam has played remarkably well behind a very inadequate pack at Wigan & Eastmond has improved significantly in a very injury-rupted Saints side under a new coach.

| For me if Offiah, the media and Tony Smith all want to big up Richie Myler more than Sam Tomkins - let them. I would sooner them put all the pressure on Richie Myler and leave Sam alone to rip teams apart every week.

How many big games have Salford had exactly. Only times I have seen him have been against us and he's played well in all three of those games IMO. Will just be interesting to see how if he can go from being a stand out player in a rubbish team to a stand out one in potentially a very good team.

Myler went missing as soon as all the transfer talk started.
Personally hope the lad comes on leaps and bounds for England's and GB's sake.

Noble was released due to his club connections as they wanted a full time coach for the World Cup.

and then they didn't want to look foolish by having the same thing happen to them again and so conveniently changed the rules. If it's only for World Cups you have to have a full time coach then whats the point in employing TS now? Have the same guy working with them now as the same guy taking them to the world cup.

| The RFL did want to have a full time coach for England but there are not enough matches at international level to really need one. Tony Smith got bored doing no coaching for long periods so took the job at Warrington. Noble was not willing to give up his club coaching job to be full time so left when his contract ended. Until there are more games per year at international level there is unlikely to be a coach willing to commit full time as they will be mainly twiddling their thumbs except for a few weeks in late October and early November each year.

Noble was "released" due to epic failure over a number of years.
Smith should also have been "released" for the same reason - although to be fair, he has won at least 1 competition during his time in the job.
