| Sinfield up until last night has been outstanding. He along with the rest of the Leeds team were awful. He's a great leader who has lead a traditionally under achieving club to 3 SL GF wins, which he has been outstanding in all of them. He has a Lance Todd Trophy as well, so to say he can't handle pressure or big games is ridiculous. And one thing that is over looked (not just in Sinfield but in the modern day player) is his ability to stay fit. He hardly misses a game.
Sure, he will probably never make it as a test player, but thats not the end of the world some of the biggest RL legends were outstanding for their club, while being average for their country. Radlinski, Edwards, Newlove, David Ward etc.
On Flanders, lets not get carried away, he still has a lot to prove at SL and test level, he's been very solid for England/GB but lets not make him out to be Hanley (speaking of Hanley, he seems to have bagged himself a right milf ). Plus he has still yet to prove he can hack it in the really big games at club level.

Wheras Sinfield has, of course, turned in numerous Hanley-esque performances at test level.

| Quote ="Phuzzy"I take it you haven't watched O'Loughlin's prformances for GB then? Where do you want to start? The MOM in the final test in his last series, the fact that all the Aussie pundits rate him as one of the few GB players who would thrive in the NRL or would you prefer the time he came on and gave Long a lesson in kicking against the Aussies. Maybe the 17 tackles in as many minutes when coming on from sub is more to your taste or maybe...just maybe....the opinion of one Tony Smith (one of your own I believe) might be enough to convince you? No? Thought not as your obviously a one-eyed gimp who knows feck all about rugby league.'"
MoM in one match out of a series..Nice...pity the opposition for that series was not at full strength.
Pundits are paid to talk..when or if he does what they talk of give us a shout.
Everybody knows Long cant kick.
He got through a lot of tackles...big deal....remember stats dont always show the true picture...did he come on at a point in the match where the opposition were tired...probably.
Tony smith has also picked Sinfield for the national side I believe.
Im not from wigan so its obvious I know feck all about the game.

You have highlighted some average achievements from o,loughlin in a series against a not at full strength NZ side. I have not once suggeted Sinfield is the consumate international. You got all giddy and started telling us that o'loughlin is a superb international when clearly he is not.
Its going to be a long 7 weeks.

Well given your penchant for re-writing history I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, but only one of those 'achievements' mentioned was against NZ. The rest were against the Aussies. Still, always best not to let facts get in the way of your one-eyed gimp view of life. Now toddle off back under your stone, you're starting to bore me.

| Sinfield is a good player in his own right, you don't become captain of a good team like Leeds for as long as he has. As for comparing him to O' Loughlin, Lockers play's like a proper back row forward, he tackles more, busts more tackles and make's more metre's than Sinfield does.
Sinfield on the other hand has a lot better kicking game and play's more like a stand off than a 13. I think he play's a lot better for the Rhino's than GB / England because he plays better with Burrows, & McGuire. where as at rep level he has had too get to play with Pryce, Long and Deacon etc.
But O' Loughlin is a better xiii than Sinfield. In that he is a better back row forward.

I'm enjoying my win thanks. That doesn't stop me writing what I've been told by two different people now, neither of whom I doubt. Just think where Leeds might be if their two most important players weren't having a battle of egos?

Its a tough choice who Leeds should back when you consider Peacocks age, but the Sinfield to Wire rumours wont go away.
As for last night, there is nothing better than Sinfield having a moan cause his team have cocked it up.

Whoever has planted that in your head must be around town with your ex back-rower!!
Sinfield is going nowhere and there's no problem within the camp regarding ego's at all.
It's all bollox started by chinese whispers and doylems in warrington thinking that because they've got smith they'll sign our best players!

And again it's nothing.
It all started in 2006 when they apparently "didn't get on" JP wanted to be captain because he thought he'd be better than sinfield blah blah blah and he was also unhappy because toopi was on a better deal.
This year at first it was JP and Buderus again over money and the fact he got the 9 shirt off diskin this ended up being a split in the camp etc etc.
Now we have the sinfield to wire rumours because smith is there which again is bollox.
We get these every time we have dip in form or after a poor result i can assure you it's complete garbage!

I don't believe the Sinfield to Wire rumours myself, but given the source I believe the Hanley/Schofield tiff that Sinfield and Peacock are having.

Well that's your opinion in all honesty when you look at both players professionalism logically do you believe that???
If these things were going on do you think we'd be back to back champions and in with a great chance of another GF???
