I think Orford would come, since Manley are in SC trouble and he would have to take a major paycut to stay.

He'll leave manley due to SC reasons, unless he takes a major pay cut.

Our record at signing big names over other SL clubs isn't good, we'll have a big chance in signing him, but clubs like Hull FC and St Helens will be hard to fight off. Of course Stains will make a cheeky little bid for him.

I think IL will see a huge backlash if we do sign Long. I think he could be a good mentor to Sam - on the field. His off-field antics are well known throughout the town. But the fact that he has revelled in beating us so many times I just don't think it would be a good idea for either party bringing him back here. Maybe we could bring him in and swap him and a bit of cash for Myler?

People need to stop looking at what Sean Long is for Saints in the past years against us. Instead, we should look at him as to how he could improve our team, and he would improve the team no doubt about it.

Same here but Long last season and mainly this one has been rubbish, 2 or 3 years ago yes, now not a chance. Not the fact that he is a jeb end its more the fact that he is shiit and if people want him as a mentor for Sam Tomkins that Andrew Johns mentors for a living so get him over as Sam and Mylers mentor on the training pitch.

Chris Bailey is just like hi brother Phil in being work horse good tackler and thats all, I watched him all last season for Newcastle and in the games I have seen him for Manly I don't rate him that highly TBH.

We need a play kicker if Tim Smith leaves, because Tomkins and Leuluai don't deliver when it comes to good long kicks. Haven't seen much of Long this season tbh but I'd be suprised if he has two seasons left in him. Maybe worth it on a cheap deal to mentor Sam play kicking wise.

For me it should be someone who's already in super league, because it should be an experienced player on a 1/2 year deal, if we were to sign an aussie he'd most likely only settle down into form in his second year.

How many tries as there been scored this year, were our wingers have out jumped someone? Prefect guy to score plenty of tries each season from it is Pat, but he's got no-one ot supply that kick this year. If Long couldn't run I wouldn't be bothered, he's kicking game is next to fantastic. If he gives himself plenty of room, even now he could kick a team to death.

Hull KR will keep him! no doubt he'll be there next year and a few after that.

Best scrum half in superleague, young and proven and obviously he wouldn't come cheap but we know he can cut the mustard under extreme pressure!

Definitely, but he's contracted until 2010 and even then would come with a big price tag, which would be a problem as we have Riddell until 2011

Isn't he out of contract end of the season? unless he takes up the one year extension?
