I think he comes across well.

It must be pretty frustrating when any player gets stick from their own fans especially when you know you are struggling with your game but still putting the effort in and still getting hit as hard as ever.

At the end of the day the reason most wigan fans have a go at him are because of his high signing fee and (probable) high salary. Not many players can go through their career playing at their peak and he's sufferring because of that coming at the same time asbeing at a club like wigan.

IMO he was 4/5 best prop in the comp during teh 2nd half of last season and unlucky not to get picked for England. The start of this season has been poor but he has picked up in the last few weeks. If he plays 2nd half of this like he did last season then I won't complain.

Why not ask him to his face?

Its official, he hates it here, doesn't like the stick of his own fans and the pressure is too much and will maybe look at what Wigan has to offer to make him stay.

He has booked up the last few games mind and he hasn't had the stick, if he carries on he wil get more praise, its shimples shtuart, carry on playing like you are and you will enjoy playing for Wigan a lot more.

I've not a clue how he expects the supporters to react? He's the one who signed the dotted line and he's the one who hasn't replicated performances from his previous club, so surely criticism is justified?

Personally, I like Fielden both as a bloke and as a professional regardless of his failure to live up to expectation...But he needs to accept criticism instead of just acknowledging it. Once he does that, he'll then realize the amount of praise and support he gets from the Wigan supporters. If they're like me, they have been hoping and wishing for Stuart to do well for his sake as well as the clubs.

Agree totally.... The reaction after he scored at Wakey not only showed his passion for the game.... But it also looked like a bit of a "up yours" to some of the criticism he has taken. Just the way i saw it, and i suppose the way i would have reacted too...

He was hardly singing the praises of the fans in the post match interview. The look on his face said it all...
