He has publically stated he doesnt like kicking and he was never great. We do have a young lad Jamie Foster who is supposed to be pretty good so the situation may improve for us soon

| Our goalkicking was great when Wigan was nothing but five drives and a kick therefore the tries were scored mainly down the middle.
This season we've been playing more expansive Rugby and scoring out wide. Now the kicking isn't as consistent.
Heard that Foster is a great kicker at Stains but doubts on his ability to make the first team.

| Is there any word on Pat?
Definitely looked as if he wasn't 100% yesterday so God knows why Noble made him play the full 80 minutes.

| Its between Richards and Roberts - bascially the best kicker out of the two will get in the team - there isnt room for both if Phelps is fb and ainscough is on the wing. If Richards gives up his kicking is his place in the team under threat?

He should have been rested against Celtic and the fully-fit Ainscough given a game. The wrong player was rested.
Read elsewhere that Richards is suffering leg or groin problems when kicking so kicks what he feels he can and then hands over the kicking duties so he does not strain himself.
Not good if true.

| At times I feel it's Richards kicking thats keeping in the team.
Phelps links up better from FB
Roberts has more pace and is a better finisher
Ainscough is our top try scorer.

| You can't judge Richards' performance if he's carrying an injury.
If everyone's fit I think Noble will go with the same 17 v Wakefield.

| IF Richards is playing with an injury, as it appears, then why have Riddell / Roberts not been practising more.
Riddell was a superb kicker in Aus, Roberts I cant remember kicking too much, but its an area we need to address.
If Pat isn't injured, then what the hell has happened to his kicking!!
