| Maybe eventually the RFL could invest in our own stadium to play all our finals at and have the magic weekend there maybe and rent it out for concerts and varioous other things, it could make lots of money.

The same Italy who pushed Wales all the way last week or Scotland who performed well today and pushed England well into the last ten mins? Or the same Scotland who beat England last year? There are no 'easy' games in the 6 nations even tho you may think there is.

So that's two more than who can win the RL world cup but yet everyone goes crazy over NZ winning the thing? Same difference is it not cause in my book it looks a hell of a lot easier to win in RL? If it was easy as what you say to win the grand slam why is it such a big deal to do it? Surly if everyone did it every year it wouldn’t be such a big deal?
Quote Add to this the fact that the skill on display was at the best "average" and more realistically "rubbish".......'"
Did you see England at the WC and you want to call that skill level rubbish? Put it this way so called world class players like Wellens, Gardner or Senior wouldn't have got in either of the Wales or Ireland backlines today.
So what actually is your point? Cause it looks like RL is miles behind RU on the international stage?

Wembley is the closet thing we have to one you have to admit that right?
Maybe we can't fill out an international stadium of 70-80k but we could probably get 50k imo which is still a dam sight better than using the JJB isn’t it?
Would it be feasible to build our own National RL stadium for use for internationals, CC and the GF? How much do we spend a year do you reckon renting out different stadiums?
We need something like that tho to take us forward.

Wembley is the national football stadium, and we rent it out for one game, just like we rent out Old Trafford for one game, just like we rent out Murrayfield etc etc etc.
Rugby league can't afford to build stadiums. A £2m loss on the last world cup over here nearly bankrupt the sport. Just how much do you think a 60/70k stadium costs, one that would be full twice a year?

Senior would walk into every 6N RU team. I agree the other 2 you mentioned are rubbish.
Are you honestly trying to tell me that the 4 Wales and Ireland Centres on display tonight are better than SL (even given it's gimped nature via the CC) can muster?

OK - Hypothetical question: The RFL invest in a national stadium; where do they build it? A few locations:
London - Far away but good for hiring out. Cost of land etc would be high.
Manchester - M62 belt but good for hiring out.
Birmingham - Not too far; outside of the M62 so can't be accused of being flatcappers. Again, good for hiring out. Close proximity to West Country, might draw a few liberal Union fans who remember Wigan 7s etc?
Feel free to add more.

Winning rhe RL World Cup isn't 'signifcant' by these standards.
On the subject, I was walking into the pub and it was just starting-awful clap trap.

Seriously i don't know if it would work or where it would be based but if we got it at a high initial cost I’m sure it would pay for itself after a while especially if we used it for other sports like Athletics or Concerts etc?
I’ve just posted the same thing on the VT to see others opinions on it. If you look at all the other major sports which is where we aim to be they all have their own stadiums

Lords is the Marylebone Cricket Club's ground, also Middlesex, and the home of the EWCB,.
we should do something similar with Wembley, I thought when it was rebuilt it was a condition that rugby League had to be played there. the GB internationals there in the past were great occasions,

| Most of the backs would make pretty decent RL players, its the 'fly halfs' that infuriate, they insist on kicking even when theres a glaring gap/overlap.
As for the forwards......... pfffft!!

Do you REALLY think that those 4 centres are better than Gidley, Senior and Carmont?
I would give you Shane Williams, he would make a good RL Winger in the style of Robinson.
But 1 from 30 is about it as far as I am concerned.
