) Derm was pure class.

People talk about how good Greg, Edwards and Hanley were (and they were), but that extra half yard that Derms gave them from the pass was a great help to them.
He's the best passer of a ball I've ever seen from dummy half, fast and accurate.

Derms is the best no.9 I've seen at Wigan, and despite some patchy performances I'd swap both Riddell and McClorum for Newton.

Me too, would have loved to have seen Joe Egan play, my uncle who watched Wigan all his life ( and lived to be 86 ), said Egan was the best he ever saw.

Robbie McCormack was an exceptional player whom I rate even higher than Newton.

Regarding Joe Egan, my Dad also reckons best ever Wigan hooker.

Dermott was my hero growing up watching wigan. I started work at Hindley prison where he became an officer and i was in awe everytime i saw him, even as 20 odd year old. In super league though, i have to go for turry or robbie

Newton, without a shadow of a doubt. McCormack was a class hooker, but Newton was a Wigan lad who played with emotion and passion. He should still be here now.

Mark Reber was in the reserves for absoluetly ages.

Even thought I can't see him the C&W stats page, I'm sure he was still at the club during the start of the JJB-era.
