Goulding can improve his defensive work with good coaching and guidance, Fielden as useful as a wet fart at the moment. Prescott IMO will mix it better for the opening 20 mins rather than be on his back and not offering a fight.

If I told you that Fielden has made more tackle busts than any other player in Superleague this season would you be surprised?

He still doesnt get anywere though Brian. Its getting painful to watch him, against Cas i felt sorry for him. Sargent absolutly smashed him all over the park and i didnt see Fielden go to hit him back with a big hit or a dominating tackle of any sort. I wish i could give Eamon Fieldens frame.

Rather give him Coley's

Noble was asked after the match about Ainscough's foot injury.
He said he thought Ainscough had just turned his ankle, there wasn't a problem and he'd be OK.
Whether things have changed mid week I don't know.
Hope he plays Saturday though!

I think he's fairly average, he's not a poor player, but he isn't the defensive powerhouse that some on here seem to make him out to be.

The fact that he came through your academy tends to make some Wigan fans view him through tinted spectacles. If he'd come through the Wakey side (and bar it being a miracle

He has absolutely no back up. Coley is a farce, O'Carrol and Prescott struggle to maintain their levels they initially set and Feka plays in bursts. We expect the world from Fielden (and rightly so) but without any kind of resonable help, what can he do?

I campaigned for us to get another prop in, Fielden, Feka, Eamonn or Prekkie plus the other and either ship out Coley or use him as spare but we'd rather spend the money on the Phelps and Mathers of this world. Plus even with 'no back up' Fielden hasnt shown above the level of Eamonn.

Felt sorry for Shaun Ainscough at the end of the game.
He's had a blinder, coaches MOM, scored an excellent try on his 1st team debut then ends up as part of a team that was booed off the field.
He didn't deserve that, nor did I think the rest of them did either.
I fans don't like what they've seen then don't applaud and walk out.
I wish they wouldn't boo the team, it's becoming tiresome and undeserved.

I wouldnt say undeserved for some of them, they know who they are and the players know themselves when they walk off the pitch whether they personally are being booed or not. Was the fans booing off Ainscough? no and he would of known that, was they booing off Coley, Tim Smith etc yes and IMO they deserved it.

fans pay the wages they are entitled to there opinion. is it better they turn up and boo or not turn up at all?.

The one thing I bet you won't be surprised at is that O' Loughlin is the league worst offender for errors & penalties.

He is the leagues top tackler though

I have always admired Sean's tackling, his only problem is his decision making that is why I wouldn't have him as captain. But that is a whole different debate. IMO with HH, Sean and Fielden we should have one of the best defence's in the super league, it is just a pity we are e on the outside.

I think if Lockers wasn't captain there would be no way near as many people on his back

I believe that is correct but untill he is removed by Nobby (or a new coach), it is his cross to bare, I for one would love the O'Loughlin that plays for GB with no pressure or point to prove. Good in the tackle and good running and offloading.

A good start would be moving him to the 2nd row
