The poor Salford performance being replicated again here. Awful D, awful attack and poor mistakes. If we’re not careful here we’re in for a rude awakening from the relegation favourites.

We haven't seen much that we didn't already know. Our go forward is poor, we don't have a good goal kicker and we're disjointed without key players. We didn't count on making that many unforced errors.

Also seem to have carried our bad luck from last year into this one - good bounce for Field and he scores, sadly a bad bounce, he falls over and gets injured.

Some good signs from the right side attack at the end.

We are in danger of ruining young Hanley . Why not call back Hankinson to play centre or wing , and he’s a goal kicker !

That was not a good half. We seem to have forgotten how to tackle. If we do not find a way of making more yards up the middle this could get even more embarrassing. Leigh are playing a simple game by running really hard down the centre and we cannot cope. If we do win this it will be because they run out of steam but the problem is that we do not have any steam to begin with. Even Bullock has been dominated in every collision.

I'm in two minds.

I thought the same about Field. It's either a full length try and we're talking about his electric pace, or a bad injury. Zak dropped a sitter too. Add in the kicks and we could be in front.

That being said, it's deja vu early season Wigan and I'm a little bored of it tbh. I get the club are playing the system, but I'd also like to be entertained on a weekly basis and not feel like the club aren't really that bothered if we win or lose.

This is just shockingly bad. Never looked like scoring off those sets and Leigh make 60m a set without trying.

It's the basic errors that are doing my head in.

Wigan are far too prone to simple errors. We're supposed to be a team of seasoned professionals.

You have got to wonder do we actually do ball control skills in training cause our handling and ball movement is poor

What have your lot been doing all pre season? Seriously bad stuff, even with a few players missing to only just beat a team who haven’t played in a year is shocking. Blake Wallace and Mellor basically gave you the win. Hand Saints another title now if that’s anything to go by.

Leigh should have been walloped tonight, they’re a proper poor team all across the board. I’d be amazed if they won a game this season to be honest. We were poor in all aspects of our game and as I wasn’t after the Salford debacle I’m not enthused at all on this performance.
