not particularly bothered who's in the box as long as it's unbiased,informative & entertaining.
I don't find Offiah convincing and he doesn't come over as a natural broadcaster as the others IMO.Not sure about Carney tho' Jon Wells looks a natural broadcaster.Cullen is interesting to listen to for people like me with only a limited grasp of the tactical side of the game,never having played at any level.
I think the thursday night format works well with Bill,who freely admits to not understanding the mechanics of the game alongside tweedle dum & tweedle dee to wade in with the technical stuff.
Enjoyed the Brian Carney interviews tho' he doesn't look comfortable,maybe he will improve with more broadcasting experience for the next series ?

Offiah would be better used as a presenter than a pundit. He has presented shows before and he's quite watchable. He's not good with off the cuff talking though, like Jon Wells and Carney are.

The problem, though, is he tries to join in with the summarising and engage in banter with the summarisers, giving his opinions, which is not what a commentator is supposed to do.

If he stuck to calling the game - like he used to - then he would be the best commentator out of pretty much any sport, just like he used to be.

To be fair, Colleen Nolan was in the Daily Mirror today, backing Andy Gray, and saying that if the same standards were being applied across the board, Loose Women should be taken off air.

Mind you, its easy for her to say, isnt it, given she's paid to slag men off.

The presenting on sky is awful for stevo and eddie plus dumb and dumber barry and tez which makes our game seem a joke the nrl is awsome the footy show is top notch. The match commentry is also good for the matches. Eddie and stevo support and are biased towards who are the best at the time e.g bradford then saints then leeds wonder if they be kinder to wigan this year haha and the constantly refer to warrington as the team to beat and have done for the past four years

Lo and behold, they were beaten quite often.

I do find Eddie and Stevo annoying, mainly because they barely do any analysis of the game aside from pointing out a good pass or strong run, their banter isn't funny and I don't think they're that up to speed with the modern game. Having said that I have no idea who I would want in their place. Baz and Tez would be good for banter but rubbish for analysis, Clarke and Wells would be good for analysis but rubbish for banter.

I've said it umpteen times and I really think it would work, I really think we should get John Davies from Sky Sports news who did the coverage of the 08 World Cup. Have him as the presenter in the studio with 1 or 2 guest analysers such as Carney, Clarkey and so on.

Same team commentating untill Davies gets to grips with the game so that he can commentate alongside Clarke, Arthur and Carney. Sorry but Barry and Terry would have to go.

Not a bad shout. Other than that I would look into some of the commentators for local rugby league coverage across the country. There must be some who could transfer their knowledge and presenting style to television (lets face it, our current crop are cringe-worthy anyway). The added bonus of bringing in a radio presenter as well is they are used to giving commentary and analysis for fans who can't physically see the game which is a much harder feat IMO which should make them less gaffe prone then Eddie Hemmings and his constant bouts of forgetfulness when it comes to players names.

I don't pesonally have a problem with Dame Eddie or Stevo - it's an entertainment business first and foremost and I feel entertained when they perform - it gives me and the missus a laugh so where's the problem ? I don't want some stone faced presenter robotically going through the intricacies of every move,that's boring ! Half the fun is seeing a) how many mistakes Dame Eddie can make in one game and b) seeing how much Grecian 2000 he's applied !
The only change I would like is no Martin Offiah who I find totally non telegenic (is that a word ?) and more 'guest' summarisers ie more ex-players (of which there are hundreds) who could give their expert comments & opinions. ie Newlove,Murphy,Cummins,Millward,Crooks,Connolly,Farrell or Lydon etc etc etc the list of RL legends is endless.............
