However I would guess that he is much cheaper, isnt on the quota and is established in SL.

Just because Orford looks good in the NRL, doesnt mean he is going to tear up SL, you would have thought King and Monaghan would have done that fo Warrington.

I would have still prefared Orford but would guess at the moment he would go to Wigan or Warrington in front of Hull if he comes to SL.

Think Long will be a good signing for Hull for a couple of years.

Well let's be realistic. We were never going to sign them both and still expect to keep Sam Tomkins. We'd have had four first-team half-backs.

TL wont get near the 9 shirt with Piggy and McIlloram here, Smith wont be here thank god, hes the exact opposite of what we had in Trent. I personally see Tomkins as a 7, he looks better at first reciever organising and starting the attack and supporting any breaks. Hes a brilliant finisher, if Trent was still here it would be a dream partnership.

I'd like to see McIlorum given a shot in the second row or even at loose forward. I've said that for a while because i just can't see us giving him the time needed to settle in at hooker.

He's tough as they come and would rattle people playing in the back row. He runs the ball in pretty strongly aswell and the fact that his passing game from dummy half isn't always the best wouldn't matter.

Tommy can play 9, but to move him there permanently would mean losing Mc or Riddell. The former is playing too well, the latter is on a lengthy contract.

Much less realistic, I'd say, than someone expressing hope that Lockyer might come over for a final payday.

Agreed with that statement. I don't see why McIlorum should be axed (If he is) because out of the two he has been the better player and I feel it would be a waste of effort in developing the lad from a young age.

Thomas Leuluai and Michael McIlorum have both outplayed Riddell at hooker IMO and deserve their places in the squad above Riddell.

I don't see where a new halfback fits in as I have mentioned on another thread. But all will become clear I guess...

I am guessing we may do something similar next season interchanging hafl-backs throughout the game, it could work, or it might not, what it will give us is options which we need plenty of as we often lack a plan B.

Either McIlorum will go on loan or Riddell is homesick and goes home
