When is Fielden due back?

Off the top of my head without thinking about it to much;

Pauleta, Monaghan x2, Buderus and Morley are all players that would improve us. I think there maybe a lot more as well as there are some very good players in SL at the moment.

Rangi Chase maybe aswel.

Looks like a Class player but he is a big fish in a little pond at Cas (Like Danny Orr was when he signed for Wigan) so maybe he'd be a gamble?. Watching him the other day at Saints literally everything went through him, I doubt he'd get that much ball or control of the game at one of the bigger clubs.

Chase is looking good at Cas but Moran looked good at the Broncos. I would be suprised if Chase is not courted by "bigger" clubs. Cas have lost their best rated players Shenton and Westerman and improved for it. Westerman was the next big thing but he may need a better coach than Agar to take him to the next level.

I'm suprised Rogues hasnt exploded at this

Leuluai is a world class 9, I thought he'd be spending most of this season there with the signing of Finch .

Westerman has the talent , he just has(or had) a wrotten attitiude. Maybe the move will do him good. I spoke to an ex player in Wigan about him and he told me as much.

Whilst we've got the best squad in the league, IMO of course, I agree it's a stupid statement.

Disagree , when he was at Cas he looked the real deal hence Wigan went in for him. He seemed to struggle at Wigan which is my point , big fish in a little pond at Cas but at Wigan he was simply one of many as he didnt/couldnt take the step up.

If you picked a team made up of all best players in the league we would probably have 6/7 players in it at the most imo so that leaves 10 players from other clubs for a matchday team.

Chase, O'Donnell, Both Monaghans, Shenton, Gleeson, Buderus, Briers (I feel dirty), Morley, Wood, Ratchford........ off the top of my head.

Add Tom Briscoe and Danny Brough to that list too.

A little OT. But anyone else glad we didn't go for Shenton? He was completely anonymous against us on Good Friday. With his only involvement on the day supporting the Wheeler's break. Carmont on the other hand continually ran rings around Michael all night. In fact Joel who has little experience at centre, had a bigger effect on the game playing at centre than Shenton did.

Just to add to your list Pemps. I like Newton at KR and Lynch and Bradford. In fact Newton all though he's probably under contract at KR, would be good replacement for the Hoff were he to leave.

He has had a couple of decent games, yes but also some very average and very poor ones. Not for me thanks.

Totally agree, wouldnt touch any of their current squad.

Me as well, really does not excite me, would bring a good kicking game but for me not the type of top class half we should be looking to bring in and lacks the dynamism for a wider back.

Nothing more than a squad player for me in a team wanting to be at the top, and I do not think he would be happy with that he is the kind of lad that wants to be playing every week.

I wonder if he was from anywhere other than Wigan if there would be such a strong feeling amongst the fans to sign him up.

With you on that one Rogues, lots of flaws IMO. Don't see a top drawer player developing there at all.

totally agree, I think it is the Pemberton posse, with a romantic view of having one of their own playing for Wigan

I think it's part of a current trend of hyping up decent players just because they are English, he's a decent player of course but don't know if he'd really improve our team.
