I'm sure all those seemingly condoning drug users,perhaps would think differently if their Grandparents or any other family member had been robbed,mugged,beaten up or even killed by a user looking for money to pay for their next fix.

Remember people in the public eye(musicians,film stars,sportsman etc)are idolised by many impressionable
youngsters who think that whatever their heros do is ok,and more often that not,copy them.

same applies to canabis then with the act as it does with ALL illegal drugs. Bet there are a lot of people on the boartd who have tried it once. Does that make everyone scum who has tried it?

They are no better in the eyes of the law. In your own opinion's thay may be different and I am confident you'll bring the effects of each drug on the user into the discussion, but it doesn't matter. A person who uses drugs, for whatever reason, is a user and should that person just so happen to be in the sporting world ie. Gareth Hock, it wouldn't matter if it was steroids, cocaine, cannabis or heroin he took - he'd still be labelled a drugs cheat.

I agree with the giving him help and support - after his punishment. As Bilko has said, getting back into the Wigan team for Hock, may not be as easy as some of you are speculating.

It doesn't make everyone scum - it's the crimes some people are willing to commit in order to get their drugs which IMO makes them scum.

Nobody is condoning the use of drugs, but mearly trying to get a point across that GH did not take a performance enhancing drug and imo is not a cheat as coke is a depresant.

Actually Cocaine is not a Depresant it is a Narcotic/Stimulant
