But he has stood out playing AGAINST the best. He's proved time after time his ability which is hard for a H/B in a team where you wont win the up front battle very often. He has had to perform ofte without a platform being set. |

If that is true then long after Tomkins hangs up his boots plenty of top players who deserve it will be denied the award if the players vote for players who they [ilike[/i rather than the best. Shaun Edwards would never have won it if being liked was part of the criteria!

From what I've seen on Twitter he seems to be well liked amongst other players, even Saints players! After the Super Leagues Super Men show lots of tweets went out in support of Sam and congratulating him on a good interview |
