But this facilitates the use of the overseas slots.

If it's within the rules then fair enough. Can't begin to imagine the outcry if we ever tried it though. Remember how much people were kicking off last season when we legitimately brought in three new overseas players? I sincerely doubt that Eddie and co will be accusing Hull KR of holding back the develpoment of our younger RL players

RE-REGISTRATION OF AN OVERSEAS PLAYER
C1:4:7 An "overseas Player" who is removed from a Club Register during the Season cannot then be placed back on that Club's Register in that same Season save with the permission of the Board.

To me that says they're allowed if the rfl allow his re-registration.

Yep you'd think they'd have looked at that and already agreed he can come back, but the RFL site is saying his contract has been terminated.

According to Nigel Wood on Radio Manc Dobson's contract has been cancelled so they could de-register him so he is effectively a free agent and could be signed by another club.

Get him signed up!!!!!

Dobo would be outstanding alongside finch. Deacon as cover, Sam at 1 and TL/MM at 9.

Ive seem player be de-registered when they have been out for the season but cant remember players being registered the same season again

Nigel Wood did say tonight that Wigan did it with two players a couple of seasons ago. It is not a loop hole as a lot of people seem to think and as long as the RL board agree he can be re- registered in the same season. HKR think the Mason passport thing will be sorted in the next few days apparently.
