woody woody my point exactly,as wiganers we have two proffesional teams in the borough that have thier own loyal brand of supporters and that is the thing i respect most about both teams sets of fans.

I would argue that currently WRLFC just doesn't have any JCL's, as proven by the rise in attendances in the past few years ie 2006. Even this year we are on course for around 14-14.5 K average when 3/4 of the games have been total garbage. We were struggling for these kind of averages even back in the glory years.

Any Glory Hunter attracted in the late 80's / 90's but still watches Wigan now surely couldn't be called that (2 trophies in 11 years).
Our performances these last five years have been shambolic in places, yet we peaked to over 16K in 2006.

Re: Huddersfield, maybe not as entertaining as 'The S' but my god, it's worked for them this year. Very big ask, but there's no reason why they can't do the double this year. That alone at Wigan would see our crowds increase.

But were notoriously boring to watch.

But we're playing pretty expansive Rugby (compared to last few years) yet we've lost 11 league games. Not really much of an improvement.
