In all fairness i cant understand why more clubs havent gone for him he is a class . I for one will miss seeing him in a warriors top. Him being mates with long could be bad for the club but it could pay off for them him and briscoe on the same wing would be good combination as we saw what he did with goulding last year. The bad point to all this is we pay £100k for him and let him go for nothin id ave atleast looked at a swap deal for briscoe or yeaman both good players

I know it's Hull but do you seriously think they would consider swapping Briscoe or Yeaman for a 30 year old with discipline issues? The only reason they are in for him is because he's free, and if you believe the local rag they're only prepared to offer a deal to the end of the season.

I think the points about long maybe wrong. He's got problems at the minute and having one of his beat friends in the team could make things better for him. Of course it could also backfire and him go even more off the rails. What annoys me
Most is that supposedly he was let go to sort himself out taking a break from rugby etc so if he goes and signs for hull then that statement was bull poop.

He might have gone, but we are missing him massively. I really hope we have made the right decision and the whole club was supportive of it.

So basically you are saying the club (well IL and/or Madge) wanted Gleeson out and the players did not so now all last seasons excellent team play and "togetherness" is out the window?

It's certainly understandable as most RL players live in a bubble and have hot smoke blown up thier s and when the bubble pops they don't like it.

IL is a custodian of this great club and has to keep it's values in tact. The players may like the club but probably not as much as they'd like a popular member of the team like Gleeson. They would always side with another player in a situation like this as they are friends with them and also it's another instance in them being brought down to earth with a bang.

Still the right decision from IL tho.

longy was telling everybody during his signing session in the club shop its a done deal with us with gleeson till end of this season with a optional 12 month

Fair play to Hull. Quality signing for them. Longy and Gleeson can do whatever they like Monday to Thursday - as long as they perform on game day I'm sure the Hull fans will be pleased.

The whole saga does my head in though. How can you stick by someone for two years who tested positive for drugs (which i think was the right thing to do btw) and sack a player for "allegedly" turning up drunk to a training session, something which i still find hard to believe.

If he wasn't such a good player and I thought we wouldn't miss him i wouldn't care but for me we are a lot weaker without him.
