Wouldn't make it public that you like to associate with under 8's Wigan fans if I were you!

I've been watching RL for over 50 years and I'm not taking the michael but i cannot remember Wire ever winning the league. I'm prepared to be proved wrong by any passing Wire fans but I seriously don't recall it happening.

I like the Warrington/Wigan/Saints rivalry.. It certainly makes game day more exciting. The DW can be a quiet place when the likes of Catalan, Quins and Crusaders are in town so its great that we have such intense battles with our local rivals. I work and have mates who are wire fans and we always have a bit of banter. I do get the feeling however that there is a semi mutual respect rivalry between wigan and saints fans, were wire just have a hate formed from decades of winning nowt. (Understandable really ;O) )

I've never seen an ounce of trouble with Saints fans. We've always mixed well with good banter and their is a mutual respect for the past histories of both clubs. At the very least most derby games over that period have been very competitive with some great memories and not so great memories.

That isn't really the case with Warrington, it's been 95% domination by both Wigan and St Helens against them and thats why they've been like vultures since they won their cup final on 8th August last year. They were all out like vultures again at Saints last week. Proud to say we take a huge following there even when it looks like we have no chance of winning!

For those that haven't read it, it is a letter from the warrington chief executive saying how much a great stadium the HJ is and how much the community should be proud of it on its 7th anniversary... Maybe he should have sent the letter to the Warrington Guardian instead, could you imagine Mick Hogan doing the same@ Wigan.. I think not.. they want to mix it with the big boys, but at the end of the day they are a small time club.

I can happily mix with saints fans. And to be fair they have been the dominant team in SL for many years and there or thereabouts when the trophies are given out. Wigan fans seem to still have the sheer arrogance from their period of dominance from 88 to 95,even though in effect that dominance ended 15 years ago. It's been a long time between trophy laden drinks for the wiganers but when reminded of this the immediatly start going on about the edwards/hanley/gregory era when they won almost everything. If you have to keep dragging up success from 15 years ago in 2010 it's looking a bit grim for you in my opinion!

Bit to be honest, considering the money they've spent on it. Doesn't stand out from the crowd at all.

Warringtonians seem pretty obsessed with Bricks and Mortar... I prefare Silver myself ;O) luckily in my 30 years on this planet we've certainly have had our fair share of it over the years... how about you Josh?

yes but the surrounding area lets it down, there are no facilities and personally i believe that the Millennium Stadium is a far better venue for cup finals.

You need to stop living in the past Steve. You have been dominant yes, but that's all history. Wire are not a small club the same as Wigan are not.
