If i was Luke Brown i would be mortified ATM. it is like having your mum turn up at School and have a go at the lads who were picking on you.

I'm tempted, very tempted, to add Nathan Brown x2 to the list.
I'll leave it though and see what happens when we play them again in a couple of weeks.

| What a load of rubbish. Fair enough if it was a really bad hit, right in the face, breaking bones, putting Robinson out of the game for the rest of the season. But it was on the chest, and Robinson got up about 30 seconds later and played the rest of the game. The only thing wrong with it was that it was about half a second late which can even be justified because Lockers was committed and Robinson turned so Lockers couldnt see that he had thrown the ball.
I thought Brown was a respectable coach but he is making himself look like a right idiot over all this, the best thing would have for him to just shut up about it, put his head down and concentrate on the big matches he has got coming up, keep quiet and let his players do the talking.
I wouldnt be surprised if O'Loughlin has an absoloute blinder on the 15th, this will give him alot of motivation no doubt about that.

| So true, they are bending the rules but it is within them. You cannot blame them. I wouldn't say it ruins the game because both teams are quality. Every game we play we see awesome tries scored by us because we play awesome attacking rugby and it takes some special plays to beat us. It is not ruining the game but perhaps not allowing it to reach its potential.
As a rugby league fan for life I love tight defensive games but surely it would be better for the sport if it was quicker and high scoring, that way more newbies would get on board.
However, what we don't want is such a rapid play the ball that one team can just win a game by 60 scoring all points from QPTB.
I do think we need to protect the playmakers as well but his rant about Lockers was just silly.
Tomkins and eastmond get knocked about all the time but they take it and get on with it.

| I thought he was the guy we would get support from but obviously not.
He should be spending more time looking at why his team REALLY lost and spend less time time talking to journos about a nothing hit that he thinks deserved a ridiculous ban.

| I agree with some of his comments, especially about the weak judiciary and refs but saying Lockers should be banned for 2 months is abit ridiculous.

| The man's an idiot.
The referee gave the penalty (rightly)
He asked his TJ what he had seen (rightly, as he was just as unsighted as Locky was when Robinson turned his back).
The TJ reported it as "Slightly late. Contact WITH the shoulder and ON the shoulder".
Having had that report, the ref told Locky to be careful as he was a little late.
So from that, we now get the press reporting that Locky was "lectured by the referee" and we get Nathan Bitter-Brown demanding an automatic red card and an 8-week ban for what was reported as a shoulder-charge.
If that ever happens, we'll end up playing 5-a-side tag rugby, as most of each team will be sent off and those remaining will be frightened to tackle the opposition.
As for telling the world that his own so-called "enforcers" will be "looking after the little bloke" - Firstly, Brown should be the one with a ban for bringing the game into disrepute, and secondly Luke Robinson should sleep easy now that he has a couple of bigger boys to stop the nasty Wigan bullies from pinching his lunch-money.
Fook me. If I was Luke Robinson, I'd be fecking MORTIFIED.

| Brown is getting boring now.
His team lost. He needs to get over it.
Otherwise this obsession with getting even with Wigan will detract from his preparations from the cup game, in which his players will face equally stiff challenges from the Wire forwards.

| The worst one of that sort i've ever seen was that Harlequins winger on Sam Tomkins, where he just deliberately stuck is elbow to his head when running full pelt. That was worth 2 months, this was worth nothing more than a sin bin.

I know he got banned, but that was far far worse than anything Lockers has done, and I was saying that didn't warrant 2 months then.

| Quote ="DaveO"The bit I don't like in the article is this: ""Over here, it's a hundred times worse. Any player can take a risk, a la O'Loughlin the other day. "
The implication being Lockers deliberately went for Robinson knowing if he caught him late it would not matter. Lockers is not that sort of player and never has been. He's barking up the wrong tree.
Coming out with stuff like that detracts from the overall point he is trying to make.
I can remember Joe Lydon getting an automatic 8 match ban for a high tackle (that John Monie thought was a great effort) and I would not mind players being found guilty of certain offences getting an automatic penalty with no interpretation of how long a ban to give.
Dave'"
O'loughlin did, but then so do all teams
i agree with him, we should stamp it out, its dangerous, dirty and adds nothing to the game

I do not agree Lockers tried his luck as Brown implies. I don't think any intelligent player does (and I include Lockers as one of those) but some idiots out there do. Brown has picked the wrong target to make his point IMO.

| He's the Arsene Wenger of RL
basically setting the agenda for the next time we play.
If we are guilty of any50/50 challenges he'll have a ready made excuse for a defeat.
If they try it on then he'll claim that they where just protecting themselves
Madge has us playing with an in yer face agressive defence and it sounds like he is trying to put pressure on the ref to penalise it
Very similar tactic to what John Kear and Mick Potter have tried in the recent past

| what does Brown think is going to happen this weekend
Do you see Morley, Westwood, the andersons or Wood holding back on them this weekend
Rod and back
I think he has set himself up good and proper. Hit Luke Robinson hard and they dont like it

| Reading this with some interest with us playing Hudds on Saturday. I am looking forward to this game....
One of the things we have been doing is putting pressure on the kicker well. Which sometimes can be a little late, its not out of malice just to put pressure on. Will be interesting if one of our players get them slightly late and see what happens.....royal rumble!
Its not often I agree with Wigan fans but i agree Brown is being a tool with this! The refs are now going to be under pressure to give Hudds penalties over the next few games which is not good.

| OK, nothing against Warrington here, but I *REALLY* want Huddersfield to win this weekend.
The only reason is that I want Wigan to have ANOTHER go at them in a few weeks.
As someone else said:
Nathan Brown = Arsene Wenger
That's one of the biggest insults to any professional coach IMO.

| I may be wasting my time here no doubt get shot down in flames but he makes some valid points on the general state of the game in this country and the fact that the powers that be are nothing short of a waste of time.
What all fans of the game want in this coutry is consistency by those at Red Hall but this is not what we get. At least he has had the balls to speak out unlike most within the game. I would imagine this may well be one of his parting shots before leaving these shores at the end of this season.
At the end of the day its his opinion.
