Cause he was playing badly or just needed a rest?
I'd think Hansen could last 80 in the reserves.
Can see him going on loan at this rate tbh.

| Hansen probably could do 80 but I expect it's a case of just easing him back from his leg injury.
32-22 now. Reckon theres less than 10 mins left.

Yeah. If Wigan go on to win it'll be the first half hour what done it - they dominated that apparently.

| 38-22 Full Time. Flanagan was Hogan's man of the match followed by Josh Veivers.
Hansen only played the first half he says.

| Flanagan was definitely man of match.Ainscough was lively every time he had the ball but his defensive game was dodgy all round with missed tackles and kicks. He needs to work on this.

| Anyone got a team sheet and a full list of scorers?
From what I was told..........
Ben Davies, Josh Charnley, Liam Farrell, ?, Shaun Ainscough, Mark Flanagan, Liam Farrell
Presume Veivers kicked 5?

| Stefan Marsh was your missing try scorer.
Thought our pack was far too strong without anybody really standing out. Flanagan had a belter.

| What position was Flanagan? What was his role in the team, was he a playmaker, workhorse etc.
Cheers.

| Flanagan played at 6 and controlled most things including the kicking. I've never seen Joe Mellor as quiet as he was tonight due to Flanagan being in charge.

| Did Neil Holland play, at the last match I was at he had been given the all clear by the quacks. Just wondering whether he had in fact returned

Stand outs were Flanagan, Ben Davies, Veivers and Farrell for mine. Good all round team performance from Wigan. Dominated most of play throughout but Saints always dangerous on break. Wigan played really well for first half hour playing into sun and very strong wind. Think Hansen only played first 40 minutes and looked pretty steady though bombed one scoring chance. Ainscough made a few cracking breaks in the game but lost ball in tackle twice, looked dodgy under high ball and made a poor effort in trying to tackle Eastmond as he ran on to a pass to score in second half. On tonight's performance you wouldn't want him playing tomorrow. Still work to do on defence. Cooper a handful for Saints with his offloading. Eastmond drifted in and out of game. Looked dangerous in second half but hardly ran with ball in first. Not sure about Saints other scorer.

| I wouldn't want this to degenerate into an Ainscough bashing thread as he is clearly a star of the future, but does anyone who was there, in the light of this match, think Nobby was right to pick the team he did/has for Saints/Wakefield?

| Ainscough was poor, and anyone who was there could see why Noble made that decision last weekend.
He gifted Saints two tries.
However he is enthusiastic and made good yards going forward.
Work in progress.

But how long will he want to remain in reserve grade?
Thought Wigan's pack as a whole was superb last night and they played some excellent rugby at times - Saints only seemed to turn up in the last 10 minutes. Enjoyable game though.
