always rated hohaia (only get to see him in international games and the odd nrl games as dont have sky) but the age factor is questionable as is the fact he always seems to play full back when i see him and theyve signed him as a direct replacement for eastmond...

On the saints front. What kind of message does that send to Lomax and Gaskell. Both have played really well and been pivotal in the saints revival. But a 4 year deal will block one or both (depending on what happens with Pryce).

On the Madge rumours. He was at the press conference today, so unless he woke up this morning and forgot he'd resigned/been sacked. The rumours were just stupid.

I dont think it sends out any bad messages to the likes of Lomax or Gaskall. If Saints are to lose Leon Pryce at the end of the season, they will be going with a very young and not very experienced 6 and 7 - and sometimes (as weve found out) you need that older head in games. Paul Deacon for example.. and eventually Finch will be the same once he settles.

I'm guessing with a two year deal he would have wanted more money but with the security of being there for 4 years maybe they are not paying him quite as much.

Idris is a good signing for Gold Coast.
