Very disappointing

Were did the black collar come from, we are Cherry & White

not too bad i dont think, the more i look at it the more i like it. i will still be getting one anyway, probably both.

Anyone decent on photoshop who could change the collar to white and get rid of the slash things down the side?

They seem intent on making black part of all the merchandise, we are cherry and white. The training gear is blue or black, why not cherry and white?

Rainjackets, fleeces, polo shirts, vest etc

Why aren't they cherry and white?

There have been far worse shirts, but why do they insist on having solid blocks of colour? And why have we not had hooped sleeves for ages?

When last year's came out IL said he had listened to fans, and the replica shirts would have hoops going all the way round. Now we're back to a white back?

It's really not that hard to get cherry & white hoops right, as numerous people have shown with designs on here. So why do we keep getting it wrong?

There's only so much you can do with cherry and white to be fair to them. A lot of Man Utd's hoodie/polo shirt range is black.

strikes me as someone saying it looks like the old shirt, so they should add something new

I've just put my own sponsors on and I think the home kit looks slightly better with sponsors on, would rather have no sponsor on the away one

Far better that although i still would prefare it without the slashes on the front.

The slashes are what ruin it. I hate all that arty farty crap. Who sat there and thought that those slashes were a good idea? And who sat there and said "yeah that looks good!"

Well, Maurice Lindsay wouldn't let a kit like that happen.

Thats the bit i don't get! Who made the call at the club that this would be the shirt? they seem to comment on how they read these boards pretty often and surely would have had a look when thinking about the kit. I'm pretty sure nobody has ever posted 'lets have some tacky slashes on the front' so why bother!

They should take a list of about 5 or 6 designs to a fans meeting and let everyone do a vote. At the end of the day the fans are the people who buy these things and if they like them it's going to sell.

They'll sell shedloads anyway. There's all this fuss every year and everyone still buys the shirts.

Well I'm not sure so with the away kit being so popular.

I can only assume these slashes are a kooga thing because Bradford's kit is awful as well with slashes all over it.

I don't know how old you are, but if you are >30 you would appreciate how much he did for the club.

Were it not for the "gang of 4" then Wigan RL would be in the same place as Barrow and Whitehaven now.

Well I'm too young to remember those days but his second spell was a total disaster and I can't abide cheating because thats what they did to avoid relegation. Anyway thats not for this thread.

If you dug out the same thread from last year, year before etc pal you'd find about 80% of people who moaned bought one, they always do. You soon get used to any design once the players are running round in it.
