I must say I’m a little surprised at that I would have said Leeds for sure, but I’m not unhappy with it. Either side would have been a battle, but can’t help thinking we’re well placed to get to the GF. Make no mistake without Lockers we’ll have to pull our tripe out just like Leeds did against Saints on Friday, but with the knocks and all the effort they put in we must have a good chance. CC is a bit of a poisoned chalice for Wire, Hudds must be well up for it now, knowing they were considered the weaker of the two.

any team at this stage is going to be a hard game but Leeds looked tired Friday and a couple of there players picked up knocks I'm happy with the draw.

I'm very surprised that we have been made favorites for Friday's game, given Leeds' outstanding record in the playoffs and our poor form against the top teams this season.

They played 3/4 of the game against saints 2 players down, as JJB and delaney went off injured after 20 minutes. Of course they were bloody tired at the end of a game of that intensity, if anything it simply underlined leeds endurance for them to keep the pace for 80 minutes with the game in doubt until the final hooter. It's not like they are still going to be out of breathe when they arrive at the JJB next week.

They have capable replacments for JJB and delaney if they aren't fit for next week.

At the end of the wigan leeds game 2 weeks ago half the wigan players left the field with some sort of bandage looking knackered, you could have levelled the same argument at them then.

Yeah they are obviously guaranteed to make the final, beating hudds is a formality. And while wigan leeds will be the bruiser to end all bruisers, huddersfield will tackle with pillows and the game will be as tough as a game tiddlywinks.

I think that personally that it doesen*t matter who plays who and how results between the last 4 teams involved at this stage of the season ended up...This is play off footie and anything could happen....looking forward to it....

The class and experience of the likes of Briers, Morley, Monaghan(s), Westwood, Higham etc. will see them through.

Huddersfield have Brough, Crabtree, Cudjoe and Lunt who all always seem to go missing in big games.

If Balous team talk was done for him by the media before the 'Ull game. I think the Wire may have just done the team talk for Hudds.

I can't see how you can say that sbout Crabtree, given that he's one of very few players who consistantly puts in a good shift against the aussies

Would you have said that before last Thursday? Also Barrie Mac last week on Back Chat said at this stage of a season when you are shattered and in need to gain an advantage any way possible and would use something like what Wire did as a motivating tool to prove that they were not the weaker side.

Wire want to get to the grand final. Huddersfield are the least likely to prevent them doing that, based on results this season.

I don't understand how Tony Smith can whinge and whinge about how bad the clubcall is and then he uses it in this way. If he didn't have it his team would be playing Leeds, so clearly he's decided it does have a use and wont always pick the lowest rank team.

Cant speak for the first three , but Lunt was outstanding in last years play off series , pretty close to MOM in the GF .
