Huddersfield's support is a joke, they deserve better than they attendance get at home and away

reading the equivalent hudds thread on their forum, sounds like they think they have the game in the bag already

With the "Big One 3" game a little over a week away, Huddersfield Giants officials prepare transportation for their fans away trip to the DW Stadium.

Talking of the giants that crowd look like it had been counted by uncle mo never looked 5k on

I think they might surprise us. We are used to having around 200 from them. This time it will be more like 1,000.... maybe more.... thats a huge percentage increase in their support. They have been taking good numbers to most places apparently.

Sold over 1,200 before the weekend i've heard so i would say most Wigan fans will be surprised !

But ATEOTD its not about how many fans we bring or how bad our support is ( if you want to believe that old chestnut) its about who is shouting louder and has the smile on their faces at the end of the game....and more recently at your place that has been our 'handful' of fans !!

It's someone on here who seems we don't even figure as a challenger

If Huddersfield bring 2000 as I've seen predicted on their board we could be looking at close to the 20k mark.

It should be a cracker added to by an appearance from Hock if selected.

If thats the case then well done, but you should be taking at least that amount every away game. Its the very least your team deserve!

Think a few comments on here a little unfair!
They have been building the club, the squad and the fan base but you cant expect to do it overnight!!

If they bring 1500 even with tickets at £10 then thats a massive improvement for them and shows that its working.
While they were struggling at bottom of Super League getting beat but unable to be relegated they were never going to attract fans whilst Leeds and Bradford were winning tophies in the same time!!

On other sights some fans on here regard Wigan fans as arrogant and with people belittling teams support its hard to argue against it. We are lucky that Wigan are a houshold name around the world and that we (perhaps) the number one team in our town. The Giants are battling against HTFC who are a fairly big club for their league standing.

Should Huddersfield win the cup or GF then Im sure they will find a further increase. But as Bradford showed its keeping that support thats the task!

Out of all the teams in the league if we cant win both trophies I wouldnt mind seeing them be the team that does!

Whatever happens and whoever wins this weekend, it should be an absolutely cracking game of rugby league either way.

You make some very good points there, I guess as a set of fans we can come across as arrogant. I also agree it would be nice for a Hudds or a HKR to win a trophy to see if it would help boost their crowds.

I rang the ticket office today and they have confirmed there are no discounted tickets left.

No need to tell me mate, i go to every home and away game and it annoys me as much as it annoys you neutral fans !!

I bet it does! I'm just glad that Huddersfield are in with a strong shout of possibly getting to Old Trafford (hopefully playing Wigan of course) and it could in turn get your fans turning up Home and Away.

Anyway i hope it's a good game on Saturday and we win!
