| I am WiganRugby on ''WiganWarriorsfans'' and it is me who has GingerWigan 18 on the back of my shirt.
Now firstly if anyone has read my posts on the other website they will realise I have been arguing my case on their for days now trying to tell people I am far from a trouble maker. I go to watch my beloved club which I have supported all my life to enjoy it not to cause trouble and give my club a bad name.
It is also me who has made the group on facebook there seems to be allot of idiots coming to us at the top I have been going to the top since I can remember and we always do our best to create a atmosphere and like me they are far from trouble makers. But there are a growing lot of childish kids (around 15ish) who think they can give me and my mates a bad name by throwing their ale at the crowd below them. They are also the ones who decided it was funny to lauph at the Harlequins game on St Georges Day when the minutes silence took place but yet again me and my mates got the blame for this but believe me after the minutes silence they didnt half get a good rolicking of me and a couple of lads.
Now at the Castleford game a few of my mates decided to go into the Castleford end to create a atmosphere Yes everyone thinks we went there just to cause problems and just to fight but you couldnt be far from the truth we went there to mingle with fans like we always do I even took the drum and started to sing a few Castleford songs. But to my shock soon as I sang a few lines of Cas songs a 40ish year old man with the words ''Danny'' on the back of his shirt threatened me and then took a swing for me. Now tell me what did I do wrong there? All I was doing was mingling with the crowd trying to get the atmosphere going just like I did at Cardiff in 07 and 08 when me and the same bunch of lads sat with the Hull KR lads singing songs during there match against FC and there was not one bit of trouble that time. But soon as this Danny acted the way he did I walked away. But when I looked back I saw allot of trouble happening I believe the Castleford fans started throwing punches at my mates and I here one of my mates got a bottle chucked at him.
Back to the group on Facebook we hope to move to the corner for our next home match the idea is to get all the decent fans like myself into the corners and leave the chavy kids. We have all agreed that any fans who come over to us into the corner to cause trouble will be asked nicely to leave and sit somewhere else as we dont want to get tarnished with the same brush.
Also I have been asked to give names forward to Mick Hogan regarding any people who cause trouble and if i see and know any names they will be handed to the club immediately to hopefully get rid of the current problems.
Daniel.

Fair do's mate. I must say I saw you and your mates at Salford and you just seemed to be enjoying the game. I can't speak for the incidents mentioned as I'm not in the South Stand but, if what you say is true and you're attempting to distance yourself from the troublemakers, then that's all you can do really.

| Daniel, fair play to you for coming on here and stating your case.
Just a couple of points.
Do you not think that going in the middle of the Cas fans was asking for trouble, particularly after the aggro that has gone on there in the past few years?
Do you think that "the trouble makers" will follow you to the corner of the South Stand?
The best way to deal with these idiots is to identify them and then get the club to ban them. I realise that it may be difficult for you as some of them may classify themselves as your "mates", but they're not and they are not doing the club any favours. Idiots like that will stop decent supporters attending games for fear of
1) getting caught up innocently in the trouble
2) getting tarnished themselves as being trouble makers, just as you yourself appear to have done.
Good luck in getting in sorted,
BUT
I still bl**dy hate drums.

| What an idiot you are GingerWiganer. What do you expect the reaction to be if you go into the middle of the opposition / other teams fans and start singing. Why didn't your mates walk away like you say you did. You inflamed the situation and then say it's not my fault. You create atmosphere by getting your own fans to do their thing in a group not by going into the middle of other fans, especially when everyone is drinking heavily.
If you know who the kids in the South Stand are causing trouble, then point them out and lets get them banned.

That is out of order. The lad has just come on here and stated how it is. I was at murrayfield near the cas fans, does that mean I was looking for trouble?
Most of the cas fans were enjoying the banter as far as I could see. Isn't this the whole point of the magic weekend?
It was a couple of cas fans who had clearly had too much to drink. I saw a couple getting chucked out.

Which just emphasizes what a stupid thing it was to do. Most Wigan fans would know there is tension between them and Cas fans as Rogues alerted to.
They went there simply to get a reaction. B0llocks to "banter".

I know a lot of people who were there and they were all saying you were told repeatedly to stop banging the drum and when you refused, it was you and your group that started all the agro, this will probably be confirmed by the Warrington fan who was sat with Cas fans at the same time.

Whoah, just a minute! I'm not justifying any violent responses here or anything but where do the Cas fans in question get off telling anybody what they can and can't do anyway? They might not have liked the drum but as long as it was allowed it's not up to the Cas fans to "repeatedly tell" anyone to stop banging anything (except perhaps their wife or girlfriend! )

| Going into the Cas end and banging a drum and chanting wigan songs is something kiddies do!! Whether Hull KR fans or Accrington Bluddy stanley fans do it is irrelevant.
I mean, why do that ffs??
Just get pished in the Wigan end, sing, and hug everyone...

Well I couldn't agree more with the setiment, however, the day we get "no go" zones in Rugby League is the day the game deteriates to the morass that is football. Just my opinion, of course.
And for the record I've stood among Cas fans many a time at the Jungle (and when it was Wheldon Rd), sang Wigan songs, chanted for my team etc. etc. with no problems whatsoever. And what's more the same goes for Huddersfield, Saints, Bradford and many other grounds/fans. That (I would hope) is the nature of Rugby League and long may it continue!

| I am in no way sticking up for anyone here but were we were sat we had three wire fans sat in front of us, giving and taking the banter. The whole thing of the magic weekend is fans mingling together isnt it?
If the young wigan fans were kicking off then fair enough but if the worse thing they did was sit with the cas fans and give a bit of banter then we are turning into football fans.

Would I have liked it? No, probably not. Does this give me the right to insist he stop or move? Definitely not, unless they were allocated seats. If that was the case I would assume they couldn't have sat there in the first place and the Cas fans who objected could have got a steward to remove them. Or am I missing something?

the hug part made me laugh, but everyone does it when we score nearly, and why if you wanted to go next to the cas fans you could of had some banter in our stand and not got into this mess in the first place!!

| Ginger Warrior - you've got to remember that for you to start singing an opposition team's songs can be seen as pretty offensive by many fans of that team, who won't take kindly to, what they see as, you taking the out of them.
The best thing you can do is learn from the experience and not do it again - stick to getting behind your team and enjoying the match rather than setting out to try and provoke an atmosphere.

| How many ginger drummers are there?
Are we talking about that lad who was on Granada Reports after he rescued that bus when the driver collapsed at the wheel?
If there's another ginger drummer going around hell raising then I feel sorry for the lad I was originally thinking of. I mean, what are the odds of that? Getting mistook as the wrong ginger drummer and being labelled a hooligan in the process?

| I seen a load of Cas fans giving it the big un in a pub outside the ground. They were taking the mickey out of loads of teams chanting etc. When some other fans start giving it back it all kicks off. Im not defending any of the Wigan fans who were involved because i dont know the full story but 90% of the Cas fans i saw were steaming and acting like hillbillies
