| Well if that's the case Wigan may as well say don't bother selecting us at home in the cup.
It's completely pointless and a total joke.
Will anyone be funding travel costs for this "home" fixture?

| A real shame if this gets moved. Wigan RL are at least as well supported as latics and should be able to hold this great event in their home venue

| No amount of spin from IL, or the happy clappers (who by default believe they are better fans because they wont ever find fault) will make this right, proper or acceptable.
There will be 22hrs between the games, surely if IL picks up the costs, it wont be an issue. The Wigan groundsman has told me in the past it can easily be turned around, Im quite sure the catering outlets will be able to get hold of enough mars bars and plastic hot dogs.
Our lease is pointless and things like this stop fans from ever truely feeling like the DW is our home, we should have just swapped this fixture to LP, playing it at Widnes etc simply isn't good enough, granted it could all be much about nothing, but theres normally no smoke without fire.
Season ticket holders, and people who attend the majority of games, but choose not to go because they are dissatisfied with the situation, are no less fans, than those who will happy clap playing at Widnes, but Im sure that wont stop a few making that the main argument and ignoring the real issue.

| Now that the BBC have confirmed the timeslot surely Wigan, Whelan and/or the Premier League can come up with some agreement to play the game at the DW. A 2.30 kickoff leaves plenty of time to turn around ready for Latic's home game. Didnt Hull Fc and Hull City once play on the same day!?

I'd rather we played you at the HJ - you smashed us at Halton, and the semi at HJ was a much closer game (same result though). I believe Leigh are playing at home, so thats not really a valid option.

| It would be pure disaster if this was moved. Just embarrasing.
IL, get the money to turn the stadium around.

| Why are there 16 pages talking about the game being moved, blaming DW and the RFL when the location of the game hasn't been announced yet? The game is on Saturday. Lets just wait to see where the venue is confirmed before assuming it isn't at the DW!

| If this game is moved , and I don't think it will be, relations between DW, the person not the stadium, and Wigan RL club, fans, etc, will be finished full stop.
Let's not forget the Latics are staying up by the skin of their teeth again, when they do go down and it will happen all those large away following will disappear and DW or whoever owns the stadium then will welcome Wigan RL with open arms.
I trust IL to sort this out.

You would hope that would be the deal. Nobody knows what the deal actually is though.
Our club should not put up with it though.
I rent a flat in Coventry, would I seriously put up with it if I was told I couldn't use it for one day?

| Giants will defo play Sunday and they will prefer the early kickoff
Situation with the stadium is different, the Giants are holding 60% of the shares
but we all know how powerull the soccer loby is
Athletic are loosing their mercurial manager so things may change in a year or so
good luck

| I could accept the mistake last time, having to play Bradford at Widnes, so i went. But i won't accept it this time and won't go if its anywhere other than in the borough of Wigan. If 10,000 fans turn up elsewhere its just showing that we accept what is happening and things will carry on and it WILL happen AGAIN. If everyone boycotts and its an empty stadium on national tv something will done. Whether its equal rights for use of the stadium, or progressing to get a new ground of our own. The council/government gave funds/grants and permission for Dave Whelan to build a new stadium on the proviso that it was used for both Wigan RL and Wigan Ath. If Wigan RL cannot use the stadium for their home games then Wigan RL should be given the same help to finance a stadium of their own. Whelan would not have been given the same financial help if the stadium had been solely for Latics.

| This is a little bit about Ground Sharing but couldnt find anything about the 48 hour rule
I.4 - No Club shall have or enter into a ground-sharing agreement unless the agreement contains a legally enforceable provision to the effect that the playing of the Club's League Matches shall always take precedence over the activities of the other party to the agreement.
