In the past I have unfavourably compared Wire's basic but solidly built ground with Saints new stadium.

What an error.

Maybe someone should have a word with Stan Wall and check what products he used to secure his flowing locks and use it as a bonding agent for the structure.

Its really brightened up my off season this, fantastic stuff from Saints.

What will happen now if the stadium is deemed unsafe and needs work doing before matches can be played there? lets hope theres not to many widnes home fixtures clashing with saints home fixtures or they'll be in trouble

Really feel for them and their low budget, tiny, unsafe, unstable, roof lacking, low capacity, view obstructed, lego like stadium.

Given there are more storms and gales forecast for tonight there might not be much left of the stadium equivalent of a trailer park that is Langtree Park.

Even if the stadium was blown away and left with a crater it would be an improvement on Knowsley Road.

If Tesco had anything to do with the stadium you can be guaranteed it will fall apart inside a 2 years. Though nice to know that it had a retractable roof like Wembley, Millennium stadium and Wimbledon pity its going to take a huge crane and a jumbo size super glue tin to put back on.

They should rename it Sunny Vale stadium after the Trailer Park that drunk trailer park supervisor Jim Lahey looks after, looks like the winds of 5hit have been blowing hard in Sint Elens

The problem is half of it is in Merseyside, the other half is now in the Irish Sea.

According to Wish FM at 5:30, Saints have put out a statement saying "the stadium is fine, we've fixed the roof, the club shop is now open again, and the 20th will go ahead"

Of course, fixing the roof is one thing... making sure it doesn't happen again is something completely different... Roll on tonight's winds!
